Remarks

The college is overall pretty great and i thoroughly enjoyed my three years in the college. The college envoirnment was very student friendly and it helped students to pursue other professional courses along with the bachelors degree due to its timings.

Entrance Preview

I did not took any entrance examination and opted for this college because it was the 2nd best college in our time after St.Xaviers in studies and probably the best in extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was very practical and helped me a lot after my college life. The subjects were very much related to the curriculum and was interesting to study them.

Internships Opportunities

There was no college internship and no such stipend was there on offer.

College Events

The college annual cultural fest is called umang and is celebrated at a grand level. Students get involved at mass level and a 3 day fest is organised.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was expensive but it included for all the extra curricular activities in the college. All the other activities including dance, music, driving were free.

I did not avail any loan facilities or scholarship facilities from the college or any kind of financial instituition.

The campus life is overall excellent the extra curricular activities and the facilities that you get in this college you don't get it anywhere else in Kolkata.

Hostel Facilities

The college did not have any hostel facilities. Though the average rentals to be paid in the nearby PG's is in the range of 4-6k pm.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

There is no active alumni club of the college but the college past students maintain good relation with each other and help each other. The college seniors also treat there juniors very nicely.

Exam Structure

The exam was held every trimester and were very difficult to crack. The invigilators were very strict.

The faculty of the college was very supportive. The teachers were very cooperative when it came to explaining same thing multiple times and simplifying the topic.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

I applied to scottish church, jaipuria college and goenka college of commerce Got confirmed from the first two but bhawanipur had the best discipline , teacherd and a smooth easy process and the best campus.it has a ragging free enviroment which is best for me .
