It was an up-gradation of Ravenshaw College established in 1868, one of the oldest and largest colleges in India which subsequently became an autonomous collegeIts just fantastic to be a part of the University.

The college grants admission on the basis of 12th mark secured by the student.A merit list is drawn on the basis of eligible students who secured marks above cutoff score and the admission is done. Eligible students get their seat in this much awaited university according to their eligibility.

The course cirriculum is quite student friendly and easy to understand. The course contains 6 semesters and is to be completed within 3 years,Every student gets an opportunity to pursue a particular field according to his/her interest and gets indominable amount of knowledge.

Yes the college provides summer internship for the course to meritorious students who pass a written exam done every year in the month of April. The students are provided with a scholarship of 5000-15000 depending upon the merit and financial status of the student.

In the previous year a total of 1287 students were placed in different companies. Highly reputed companies like Tata Consultancy Service, WIPRO,Capgemini,ICICI bank come to the university for the recruitment process and recruit as many as stuents. Yesteryear average package was about 325000.

The college holds annual functions of very department.It also holds a yearly Science fair which is the largest in the state with the participation of over 1 lakh students.The yearly annual function of the college is held in the month of April which witnesses the arrival of great dignitaries.Seminars and self awareness classes are held every month.

Its very affordable.For normal courses the fee system is from 2000-3289.For self finacing courses the fees range from 16000 to 35000 depending upon the courses.The SC/St and OBC studentas are given special concessions as well as scholarships as they deserve.

Many scholarships like Medhabruti, Prerana, LIC scholarship etc are available which give a support to the students belonging to lower castes and poor financial backgrounds.State Bank of India has lended its support for providing student's loan at 0% interest to the needy students.Medhabruti is a scholarship awarded to students who score above 80% and have annual family income below 350000.

The gender ratio is about girls to boys 1:3.Internal Quality Assurance Cell,Equal Opportunity Cell,Gender Sensitization Committee Against Sexual Harassment and Anti Ragging squad ensure every student is treated equally and no one is harassed emotionally,physically,sexually.Also two eminent psychiatrists are present for the counselling of students.

The hostels are well maintained with a fair food that is okayish.The hostels have well ventilated rooms along with super clean bathrooms.The mess members are co-operative and food is provided right on time.However the rules are little strict.There are 7 boys hostels and 9 girls hostels with a total seat capacity of 9000.The average monthly fees including food and lodging is 1299.The hostel contain about 3400 PG seats.

The exam strucure is a bit of complicated and is adjusted according to the needs of times.The labroatories and computer labs along with the libararies are well maintained.The lab and exam time table are fairly organised and the examination system is too simple.
