Entrance Preview
I took admission on the basis of MPPET but now it accept only JEE-MAINS score card.My score wad 140/200 and opted jiwaji university because of chemical engineering,that was one of few colleges in india that offers chemical engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure was good syllabus was quite old and not revised since the course started. The major problem was lake of experienced and permanent faculties and also administration was not good. Jiwaji university is best place for those who just wanted degree and wanted to prepare some other competitive exams like GATE, CAT, UPSC etc
Internships Opportunities
No, Jiwaji university (engineering department) do not provide any internship. You can apply for intership yourself in various mnc or institution.
Placement Experience
Placement cell was in very poor condition till 2015, In between 2011 to 2015 placement of engineering department was zero percent. I have heard that placement for 2016 batch is 70% and average ctc is 3LPA. If you have done degree from jiwaji university you can prepare for various competitive exams like bank, SSC, railways, NDA etc
College Events
Jiwaji university organise too many events and festivals like E- FEST a technical festival celebrated every year and opened for all technical institution and workshops like ROBOTICS, CHEMCON, etc are organised time to time.jiwaji university host some national and international workshop on current issues.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was very feasible and jiwaji university provides scholarship to every SC/ST/OBS students and scholarship is also available for students below poverty line,100% fee is refundable to these candidates and also 500 rupee pm is provided by madhya pradesh government for living in hostel.
Fees and Financial Aid
Various scholarship scemes are available like central sector scholarship,ongc scholarship, pre matric scholarship and you can also avail the benefit of green card(bpl card).
Campus Life
Campus life was amazing. gender ratio was about 50-50, student organise parties on occasions like new year etc, student also celebrate ganesh utsav in hostels(both girls and boys). When it comes to tolerance I would say YES you have to tolerate too many things in this place like politics, gender, culture etc.
Hostel Facilities
I was hostler thats why i knew hostel facilities very well, Hostel is awesome,clean,green,and the location is amazing,only five minute walking distance from department. Hostel was fully wi-fi, 24 hour electricity and water. You can use cooler and room heater when needed without paying any extra electicity charge food was okay.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior junior relationship is good in jiwaji university, senior always supported me, we play together watch cricket together and do lots of stuff together.
Exam Structure
Exam structure was good, semester were on time. labs and other facilities were okay.they provide you lot of gaps between exams so if you have not studied in entire semester you can prepare yourself for exam in those gaps that was the one of major profit of being jiwajian.
Faculty
As I already mentioned that there were only few qualified faculties available and rest of them where hired on contract basis. Guest faculties were GATE qualified but they had no teaching experience. Standard of the faculties were normal actually the problem was not in the university but the problem was in the place, Gwalior is on of worst place in India thats why faculties dont wanted to teach in jiwaji university.
