JIIT CSE review

The eligibility is 12th pass and the entrance is based on JEE mains exams. During covid, the admission was also taken on the basis of boards also for 20% of the seats. The admission is then decided on the basis of jee ranks. JIIT sec 62 compute science branch generally closes around 55K jee mains rank and IT near 60K. JIIT 128 CSE branch closes around 70K and IT around 75k. The application form can be found on the college website and it's around 1000 and the date is generally during May. There is no reservation on seats its solely on the basis of jee mains rank and that's the good thing about Jaypee.

I chose CSE because the placement of JIIT computer science is best in Delhi-NCR among private engineering colleges. The facult:student ratio is around 35:1. The faculty of JIIT is highly qualified most of them have done PhD. The exams are held 3 times per semester and if you study well they are very easy to score.

Intuit, De Shaw, Linkedin, Nagarro visited for campus internships. Intuit offered 80K per month for the SDE role and took 4 students. De Shaw offered 100K per month for the tester role and took 2 students. The students in these internships mainly get PPO.

From the 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Adobe, Google, De Shaw, Intuit, CISCO, Wipro, TCS, Infosys and there are many offers. The highest package was 43.88 lakhs and the average package was around 7-8 lakh for CSE. 99% of students were placed. Doing a job in good product based company.

Fees are generally increased every year by around 10%. The hostel fees are also a little high of JIIT. The scholarship is also there in JIIT on tuition fees if someone has an annual income of less than 1.5 lakh. There are enough opportunities for campus jobs in JIIT, especially in CSE branch.

The annual fest is conducted around March-April by the name of Impressions. There is also a tech fest like Xenith. There is a good library in JIIT of around 2 floors and books are available. The classroom has around 35 students in a tutorial class and 70 in a lecture class. Sports and extra curricular is a little less in JIIT. Thespian,Cresondo,IEEE,GDSC, etc.

All rooms have AC, projector and enough chairs for students. The meal is fine for hostellers and every day there is different food and sweet dish every afternoon. The registration process for a hostel is held online and fees are around 75K per semester. PG are available near JIIT in sec 62 and even in Indrapuram.
