naval architecture if you wish

Only one thing i hate is compulsory attendance because if you are not interested in some course why would you want to go for that class and good is college life you will love it here

I gave IIT JEE i scored 187 in the exam. I am a category student. I could have chosen any branch but i opted for it IIT MADRAS is best college in India for naval architecture if you are really want to learn it and it all make sense if you are looking for higher studies in the same field.

As its bachelor course you will get to learn all basic courses as well as some deep courses. You can even choose few courses once you start getting familiar with the field. so the curriculum is good which covers all that needed to know in bachelors degree. Initial courses will be very basic engineering then 2nd yearn onward few advanced course then in final year you guys actually have to work on project. lot of courses consist of projects also which gives you hands on experience

So internship not provided by college in any branch you have to grab the opportunities which college will provide you at lot of times. you can even apply for internship outside. Coming particularly to naval architecture in iit madras the department provide you internship of a month in any of the shipyard from Goa Cochin or Mumbai

Coming to placements and opportunity in final year of your graduation lot of shipyard come for PSU to IIT. Indian navy also comes for naval architectures. but if you go for higher studies and then look for opportunities it will increase drastically in the naval architecture

So if we come to this point there is hell lot of things to do in cultural technical and sports field. throughout the semester there will be cultural events will be happening you will be informed on college mail. you can play games and if you are really good at it you can represent IIT madras team

So coming to the fee structure if your father earns enough money to run your home and take care of your college fee you will have to pay college fee that is something around 60000. and if your father income is below some level you will get scholarship that will marginal decrease your fee

As i mentioned above the scholarship depends on your fathers income if it is below some level your fee will decrease marginally. And their are different scholarship which depends on the merit list but you can take only one scholarship at a time. loan can be taken from sbi you dont have to worry about it just need few signature and all is done

I would give 10/10 for campus life. you guys would love it if you join it. yes the girls are less if you need a gf you have to put lot of efforts. extra curricular activities are lot it happens throughout the semester you would love to participate in it. even sports fest happens lot of college come to participate if your are good in some sports you can represent IIT team. Their are tech. groups in college which you can join and learn robotics and become master of it there is no limit if you have opportunity and you get hell lot of opportunity

So if a talk about hostel facility i have been to different hostels of my friends from different college even of private and government. what i saw was the hostel facility i get is the best and the cleanest one. but keeping your room clean depends on you not hostel. food i would say is average being north indian living in south india

I think college take care of the college alumni network and if you guys need any help from any alumni they would be happy to help you as i have experienced

Labs are not frequent it usually happens three times a week and coming to the exams it will be happening three times in a semester of four month or just two times depends on the professor what he wants. preparing for exams will be bit hectic if you are not studying regularly.

So coming to the faculty they are good as well as bad. Bad in the sense not bad at knowledge. being professor in naval architecture all the professors are expert in their field and the course what they are teaching. the best part of the faculty here is that you can take their help any time just go and knock their door they will be always their to help you in any problem related to their course as well as their field
