Remarks
The college management is very straight forward. Rules are rules equal for everyone. No one is exclusion i really likes that.
Entrance Preview
No entrance exam was required. I passed 10th and 12th (science) and appeared in the common merit for admission. I preferred chemical engineering and Nirma Institute of Diploma Studies was just the perfect match for that.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum included all process unit operations and unit process related topics required to be known by a chemical engineer in great details. It also contained various basic computer applications such as Auto CAD and C language.
Internships Opportunities
I had great internship experience. One at Nima Ltd, Savli plant and other at Unimark remedies, Bavla plant at Diploma level no other institute offers internships industrial traing opportunities. There was no stipend associated with the same.
Placement Experience
I think there were good industries visiting for campus placement but I did not take part in the campus placements because i had decided to go for further studies.
College Events
Academics and cultural events both were at a great balance. I participated in Garba competition, annual sports meet, annual cultural festival science fairs are a few to name. I also won various prizes in individual as well as group performances.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Well compared to other colleges during that time 2000 - 2003 fee structure for payment seats was on higher side. But i think it was worth paying that much.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am not aware if any 'kind of scholarships, loan facilities were given. If at all i did not avail any such facility.
Campus Life
As mentioned in question no 6 number of such activities festivals functions were organized through out the year. We never felt so much of study pressure enjoyed our college life and also did well in the exams. The entire year planning was a perfect blend of enjoyment and knowledge building.
Hostel Facilities
I did not use the hostel facilities and mess food. But i used the canteen facilities which i feel was okay. The cost was also affordable.
Alumni/Alumna
The college sent invitations for alumni get togethers for few years. But i could not attend any of them because i was out of country for few years. I think i have not received any invitations since last 7-8 years or so.
Exam Structure
There we semester based exams. Two exams in each semester. If anybody fails in any particular subject they get another chance to appear in the sessional exams. Overall structure was such that kept us busy around the year and at the same time there was not too much of pressure at any given time during the year. It was a good balance I think.
Faculty
I would say the faculty was haveing above par level knowledge and experience. They knew what they were teaching. No bogus answers at any kind of question, doubt.
