Awesome

So far the college life has been awesome. I have spent 3 years in the college and had countless memories. I have still a year left in my college and i m looking to enjoy that to the fullest.The students are pretty awesome and I made a good set of friends here.The hostel life is crazy and u will enjoy late night entertainment with besties. I have a good set of faculty but I request the management to improve it by a further notch so that students can gain better knowledge and exposure in their domain.

I have taken BITSAT for this and i scored 310 out of 450 in the exam.As BITS Pilani offers u a variety in teaching experience over other colleges and has a very good practical exposure i chose this institution over other institutions.The admission process for BITS Pilani is through BITSAT entrance only and is purely merit based.

I have chosen EEE i.e Electronics and Electrical Engineering in BITS Pilani,Hyderabad Campus and so far i m extremely satisfied with my choice.This course demands a student to have core understanding of various concepts related to electricity and magnetism and understanding of basic circuits.There is a talk among engineering students that EEE is among the toughest branches but you will love the subject if you understand the circuits and various dc/ac machines with a conceptual viewpoint.The drawback is that you will have to be good in memorizing and reproducing diagrams with perfection.In research point of view there are multiple options available in the electronics industry.The college provides an ideal platform for students to get an hands on industry exposure of latest technologies in use.

Yea our college does provide a wide array of internship oppurtunities.The students during the course of summer vacations gets associated with various industries.In Internships students are allowed to have an hands on experience on various modern technologies availble in the market and they tend to gain practical knowledege.As a result we learn how to apply our knoweledege in real life applications and it allows us to think in various possible ways.The college has provided a great platform in giving students a practical exposure.In most of the cases there is no stipend as the aim of an internship is to provide students the practical insights into the new generation machines and manufacturing.

The placements and job opportunities at our college, its obviously cool.Common its BITS Pilani brand after all so be chill about the placements and job prospectus.The total companies visiting the campus are approximately about 120 to 130 and they provide wide array of opportunities ranging from core jobs to IT jobs.The top companies visiting the campus are Amazon, Microsoft, DeShaw, Morgan Stanley etc. Amazon and Microsoft offer approximately a starting salary of at least 10-12 lac per annum.

The exam structure is not so demanding or hearth wrenching like in other state affiliated colleges.Its quite flexible and at the same time not that chilled out.The labs are frequently held and sometimes the day might turn hectic or else generally it is very flexible time table.The exam marks at the end of the semester are given according to cgpa and each subject is credited with grades and the cumulative average of those grades over 8 semesters in engineering is nothing but overall cgpa.

There are numerous scholarships available for economically backward students who cannot afford the college fees.I do not have an exact idea about list of scholarships but a fair knowledge of it.The students who want to know regarding this aspect can check it out in the bits pilani official website for further details.

The campus life in BITS is fabulous.The students enjoy each and every part of their time in campus.As the campus is fully residential the students get to know each other well and as a result there are many useful interactions.There is a very healthy gender ratio i,e there are good number of girls equally as compared to boys.The girls are pretty in the campus.There are many student unions in the campus to address various issues.There are college fests going on in the college like sports,robotics,debates and cultural programs etc.All the castes and races are welcome and there is no discrimination based on caste /religion.

The hostel facilities and the mess food are cool and excellent.The hostels are available in campus itself.As the BE course is fully residential a student is required to stay in the hostel.There are sufficient no of hostel blocks for buys and girls so all the students will be accommodated in the hostels and there is no need for any pg outside the campus.The hostel facility for boys is that there is one room per individual person and there is no sharing of rooms.

There is a very strong alumni base in the college. The alumni meets are held every year and the alumni shares their memories and good times they had in the college.The college seniors during my batch do take introductions and might tease u for few days but later on they are the ones on whom u have to bank on.They give important tips regarding examination questions and the pattern.These interactions had a good impact on me as a person.

There are wide range of cultural and technical symposiums in our college.Every year there is a technical fest of BITS Hyderabad called as ATMOS which is held in October of every year on a very grand note.U have various mock debates and MUNs as well as a change to get robotics experience.U have a sports festival too every year and there are many colleges around Hyderabad which participate in this fest.The annual cultural fest pearl is a big sensation and an awesome event where the top stars and bands come and perform.It is one of the biggest cultural fests and lot of students in the city flock in huge numbers to witness the stars performing on a big stage.

The faculty of our college is awesome and they are supportive towards students in all possible ways.As the faculty reside in the campus they are available anytime to clarify the doubts and shortcomings of a student.But there are some faculty members who for namesake have a Phd degree just come to the class and teach a ready made pdf and go.They hardly teach any conceptual related stuffs and I found my iit jee teachers much better than some faculty members in this regards.The standards and the equipments available in the college are in trends with the latest available technology.
