SVNIT Review for study and college life

The minimum eligibility to take Mechanical Engineering at SVNIT was around 45000 general ranks for my EWS category. For admission in SVNIT, you have to go for josaa counselling, in that there are 6 rounds in which you can get college from your choices. There are reservation benefits for ews, obc, sc and st categories. The overall admission process is very good, in my opinion.

Teachers of the mechanical engineering department are well qualified, well knowledgeable, and very helpful. Teaching quality is overall good, for some teachers, it's not well but it's overall good. The course curriculum is very well designed but it has many issues as per my opinion but overall it's good. Semester exams are pretty much easy for some subjects but for some subjects, it's very difficult.

There are companies like Maruti Suzuki, L&T offers internship opportunities. We can also do an internship in the 3rd year of Btech in SVNIT and also get a chance to do projects with professors of SVNIT by convincing them to work with them.

From the 7th semester onwards, companies start hiring students in campus placement, many companies like Amazon, Nokia, adobe, Suzuki, airtel, bajaj, Paytm and many more are coming to hire students. There are an average of 65% of students getting hired in campus placements. My plan is for MTech after Mechanical Engineering.

Fees are very high as it's NIT, but you can get partial fee remission if your annual household income is less than 500000 and also you can get full fee remission if your annual household income is less than 100000.

There are many different activities ongoing by the student chapters, also there are many fests and annual fest held by the student community as well as management. The central library is amazing, there are very good facilities available in the library There are many clubs and student chapters organized by the student community, there are many activities done by each club. There are clubs like Drishti, Phoenix-Aero, CEV, and many more.

Hostels have very good infrastructure, Wi-Fi facilities, indoor games facilities, mess food is also very good. And hostel fees are affordable and reliable. The registration process for hostel room is done on mis platform of svnit website.
