IIT Kanpur Rview

From the beginning, my priority was IIT Kanpur as I really worked very hard in my academics and JEE so that I can meet the college cutoff standards. IIT Kanpur is the top-ranked engineering college in India and I wanted to be part of it as the faculty are really very high standards. I was the only girl in my family that wanted to make a career in engineering so I wanted to be part of the best institute to full fill my dream. I cleared my JEE and appeared for JOSAA counselling and secured my seat in IIT Kanpur.

The curriculum of the college is lengthy and follows all kinds of regulations. The curriculum is designed to impart engineering knowledge and a little bit of management also so that we can properly fit into the corporate world. The faculty of the college is very qualified. They are PhD degree holders and have completed their research work from very top universities of India and their experiences are very valuable. The faculty teaching, methods are very good and they also motivate us to take part in the extra-curricular activities and help us to develop our personalities.

The college internship program is designed very nicely we also have to submit the written assignments after completing the internship on the topic given by the respective faculty members. The average stipend for the internship was around 65k.

The college is among the top 5 institutes of India so the placement without a doubt is according to the college standard and name. The college maintains a record of 100% placement and the highest salary offer was around 2 CPA and the average salary offer is around 25 LPA. Axtria, EXL, Goldman Sachs, OLA, Uber are the major recruiters for the college. Few of my batchmates received a pre-placement offer from which I am also the one that received a pre-placement offer.

The college complete fee is around 8.50 lakh and most of us will say that the college fee is high but the education standards and the placement offers that the college provides the fee is completely worth and the ROI of the college is very high as the college average placement offers are around 25 LPA. Merit cum Means Scholarship, INSPIRE – Merit-Based Scholarship, Sports Scholarship, Private Scholarships are some of the college scholarship schemes through which the college provides scholarships.

The college is very well managed and the college building is very well maintained. The campus always remains clean. The classrooms are modern fitted with AC and digital board. The labs are available for every department. The college library is the source of the knowledge fro every one of as all types of books are available from all kinds of fields and domains. The college campus has a WiFi facility. The college staff is very helpful and they cooperate with us very nicely.

The hostel facility of the college is very good. The hostel campus has a cafeteria facility that is open for 22 hours a day and we can order food from it at night also. The hostel also has an indoor games facility. the hotel mess food quality is good but most of us prefer to eat the food from the cafeteria. The hostel wardens are quite friendly and professional. The hostel staff is very well trained and the hostel discipline is maintained properly. 24x7 hostel water and power supply are available.
