Raghava Sowrya's Review On Rao Bahadur Y Mahabaleshwarappa Engineering College - [RYMEC], Bellary

I had taken K-CET entrance test for getting government quota seat in this college. I opted this college as it is one of the best college in my place and the environment and college placement outcome is very good compared to other nearest colleges.

No my college doesn't provide internship. They have direct placement activities more than 30 companies come for my branch to take in take out of 140 students at least 60 students gets placement in some company every year.

We do get 30+ companies for placements every year and top companies like TCS, HCL etc also comes packages starts from 2300K and goes up to 70000few local companies also show interest to take low aggregate students so almost all the students gets placed.

Every year we will have college day called mandara were we will be provided with many competitions to participate to show our skills in technical and cultural activities. Even sports have much importance and training is provided in our college many of my friends participated in national and state level from our college .

Government seat costs 48000 per year and managment quota is bit costly it goes up to 1.6 lakhs per year for different branches as per the fee the college facilities are bit less. The infrastructure and faculty are not up to mark the space for the students is very less here.

Karnataka government provides scholarships on caste basis and jindal society provides scholarships on knowledge and economy status general merit students like me has to bare whole expenditure on our own we have no choice college does not provide any loans or scholarships.

There is no alumni reunions conducted by college students make there plans to meet once a year out side .The collage and no ragging cameras everywhere freshers are lucky about that.

The worst part by our university is exam answer sheets valuation even though if we write for 100 marks. You can only expect 60 out of it as many of the valuers are not of the same subject. They will be just given key book and make them valuate the paper and if we write out of textbook we are not awarded marks for that.

Most of the faculty are available all the time in staff rooms and most of them have 10+ years experience .But they are minimum knowledged out side the textbook. I believe they must me trained in guiding for projects. As i see many of the students fail to make there own projects because of lack of proper guidance .
