Entrance Preview

I took university exam and scored rank 48.I choose this because university is very reputed and well known and one of the oldest university.

Course Curriculum Overview

The electives mainly focused on banking, insurance, finance sector. There were many other different courses in mba to study as well like infra, telecom, pharma etc but i choose fiannce.

Internships Opportunities

Intership was for 3 months and i did in HSBC ludhiana. Ample opportunity to learn from senior executives there especially understanding market perception, analysis of market trends etc.

Placement Experience

Placements were not very good as it was first year of dept in university but i got into punjab national bank and now designnated as manager.

College Events

Praznik the most famous cultural event was organised by uiams dept of university. Lots of sponsorships have pour in during the fests and are very sucessful.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not much aware of loan facilities or scholarship but i am very sure that university will be helping students through scholarships and may also be providing loan facilities.

Campus Life

There are lot of extracurricular activities in which u can participate. I have performed bhangra, modelling and participated in various other activities.

Exam Structure

Not very hectic thou it was the trimester system we had six electives every trimester but the course was very interesting.

Good faculty, nice interaction between teacher and student. Faculty was very friendly as you can go and talk to them any time and any where without hesutating.

Thapar the unique approach to MBA

Placement Experience:

students are eliglible for placements when they pass previous backlogs and have 75% attendance. almost 50+ companies showed up mostly taking resume and not conducting any interviews. avg. package: 6L almost 70% students got placed mostly in sales.

Placement Experience:

The placement were so bad I mean the company came but they only took sales people rather than coming the finance profile or the operation profile so minimum package was 2 lakh doing mba getting low is quite not good

A Valuable Learning Curve with Real-World Exposure

Placement Experience:

Placement in the college are decent. Mostly students got placed for sales and marketing role. There are very few companies who came for Finance ,HR and Operations and other specializatins. So mostly at the end other specialix=zation students end up with getting a job role in slaes or marketing only.

Placement Experience:

Generally the placement drives starts during semester 3. Few name of the companies which visits campus Is Deloitte, American Express, Oxane Partners, Nestle & L'oreal etc. Highest package is 24.81 LPA & Average package is 8.17 LPA.
