Remarks
The admission process of the IMS institute is simple and easy. The application form is available on their website, along with all the details. The eligibility totally depends upon your 12th percentage. There are reservation benefits as well but since I was not in that category so have no clue in details about it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is designed in a way that caters to the need of the industry. In short, is industry-oriented curriculum is there for all the subjects. Having an interest in news and politics motivated me to opt for a journalism course. The faculties are highly qualified and encourage us, students to grow in terms of knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are part of the curriculum of the institute. Every student gets a chance to do an internship where they get a chance to get a stipend as well. Projects like news covering, article writing, copywriting, etc. are done by journalism students.
Placement Experience
CRC corporate resource centre is there on the campus who works dedicatedly for the placements of the students. They bring top-notch recruiters for students to get placed. Companies like newsnation, indiatv, DD come for placement. Students are given a fair and equal chance to participate in the placement fair and get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of the college was explained to us when we were taking admission and they were clear that you can pay fees in 2-3 instalments. So it was not a burden for my parents. Apart from it scholarships were available for students to avail which is totally on the merit of your 12th %. Like above 80% gets 30,000 INR and so on.
Campus Life
The campus plus the social life of the student is amazing in IMS. They really get a chance to not only showcase their knowledge but also their talents. 23plus student-driven clubs are there on the campus and we students can take part in as many as clubs we want. The main attractions of the student's fest are PULSE, Markfest, Genesis, Hackathon, and so on.
Interview Experience
There is no GD round but yes there will be a PI round. Which is not that difficult. A student should be prepared with answers like why he wants to pursue a particular course or what they want to do ahead and so on. The criteria are on the basis of the 12th result and filling of the application form.
