Remarks

Staff was good, college atmosphere was excellent. The only thing that lacked was if we would had got support for campus placement and internship placements. This would have helped us to built more strong professional career which is a key for building up a strong managerial profile.

Entrance Preview

T John entrance exam, I dont know the score as it was only declared if I am eligible for admission or not. I wanted to go for MBA as I always wished to do something which others usually dont opt to do. In the year 2001 MBA was something challenging, not everyone wanted to go for it. I went all the way to Bangalore from Amaravti a small town in Maharashtra for it.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

We were the just 2nd batch of our college. The curriculum was designed by the Bangalore University pattern as my college is affiliated to Bangalore University. We had lot of seminars, presentation, college fests. The course was designed in such a way that it always helped us to think out of the box.

Internships Opportunities

During our period we got live experiences to do our internship. My subjects were Human Resource and Marketing, I had chosen selling of investment product for my internship. I have soled out some SBI mutual funds. That time we were not paid any stipend.

Placement Experience

0.5

During our batch 2002-2003 no campus was conducted. We had hunted for job by our own. I am sure they must be conducting campus drives now.

College Events

4

We had management festivals in our campus. We used to represent T.John college in various other management festivals also. It was more than 20+ colleges participated in the fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

During 2001-2003 batch fees was quite minimal it was just 30K per semester so in 1. 20 L we did out 2 year full time MBA from a reputed institute under Bangalore University. Just other miscellaneous expense of 50 K more.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were loan facility but I did not avail any of that.

Campus Life

4.5

In my class the male population was more we females although being less in number always had a edge above the male ones. There was never a discrimination as to who will represent college for any fests or seminars we did have various workshops and presentation made from outside faculties on sexual orientation adult education, etc.

Hostel Facilities

3

There were hostel by college but I did not avail the facility. I along with other friends took rented accommodation. It used to cost us around 1.5K p.m. per head.

Alumni/Alumna

Its all lost. I dont have network directly to the alumni now. I do have contacts with my classmates, most of them have settled abroad. Seniors are hardly in touch. We were not in network during our college time only. We just had a welcome party.

Exam Structure

Exams were not that hectic as class tests, seminars and presentation used to keep ready for all the term exams. We used to have weekly presentations, fortnightly seminars, mock test (surprising). These activities used to keep us quite busy.

Faculty

4.5

We had great faculty both regular and visiting ones. Some of our visiting faculties were from IIM-B , the life experiences that they shared with us helped us a lot not only to understand the chapters but also to solve so many cases studies. The knowledge sharing that they have done is still helping us in many ways today also.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time.
