Remarks
The admission process was through the JEXPO examination. To get selected in Hooghly Institute of Technology you should have JEXPO rank up to 5000. The fee for filling up the JEXPO examination form was 500 RS. Application forms can be found on online sites or any nearest Engineering college. And have to submit that form to the nearest Engineering college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The overall experience of my college was good. Helpful faculty, teachers, senior students everyone was too good and their behaviour was also too good. There's no special reason for my choice of the course. I loved mechanical engineering. That's why I choose to go forward with it. The teaching method of our teachers was extraordinary. We had 6 semesters in total. If the lectures of our teachers were followed properly, anyone can pass semesters with good marks. Our semesters are held on proper time every year.
Internships Opportunities
There are too many internship opportunities in our college. Many companies like L&T comes every year to our college. Students can get a job role like junior engineer, assistant engineer e.t.c through those campus drives
Placement Experience
After completing 4th semester students are eligible to join the placement and campus drives. Many companies like L&T, TCS comes every year to our campus. A maximum number of students gets placement there. If anyone fails to get placement there they are provided placements even after passing out for 2 years constantly. Students can get a minimum amount of 12000rs and maximum 25000 RS package job. My plan is to join a government job. So I'm studying for that now.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees were somewhat hiked than past. but the fees were not very much hiked. The fees structure was good. Hooghly Institute of Technology is a government college. So fees are less than any other private colleges. There are many companies that came to our campus. And the support of our teachers was too good.
Campus Life
The campus of our college was too good. It was not too big but was clean, beautiful and enjoyable. We enjoyed our college life too much. Extracurricular activities like cricket, football matches were helpful frequently. There were too many fests also like the Alumni fest, fest to welcome the newcomers, fest to say goodbye to the pass out students. There's also a Facebook page of our college named Hooghly Institute of Technology which is usually run by students.
