Remarks
The admission process to get in NIT Raipur is totally based upon the guidelines provided by the government.First of all student must be passed 12th with an recognised board.And must have qualified jee mains according to their respective category cutoff.Application of jee mains is released by NTA every year and application fees for boys is 650 and for girls is 325 . Then he/she participates in josaa counseling (in 6 rounds). Admission to the institute will finalize by the josaa rank list.Further processes are carried in institute itself. Cutoffs for different castes varied as general student have to score more compared with other caste and reservation of girls student is also there.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose electrical engineering in the institute coz I was interested in electrical compared with computer science and also interested to work in this sector.Till as it is online, we haven't seen the campus but teachers are highly qualified.Term exams projects assignment all happens timely.
Internships Opportunities
Students get selected for summer internship has to pay a fees for 1000 in form of a demand draft.Every department announces with a maximum number of 3 students and from outside the institute students are also allowed with a application format. At the end of internship based on evaluation of the individual faculty, department will issue a certificate stating the details and duration for successfully completion of the internship. Assistant registrar (student section) will help the department in ensuring the procedure and follow up if any.
Placement Experience
Student from 5-6 sem are eligible for pre placement offers in their internship.But in campus they are eligible from 7th sem having no active backlog in previous semesters.Companies like Vedanta,Adobe ,Infosys, Siemens, Wipro, infoedge, TVs, lafarge, samsung, fico,adani, JP Morgan Chase, ACC, Barclays,bharti etc.visited campus for recruiting students. About 60-70percent students get placed every year with an average of 9 lakh per annum salary.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure for institute varies on basis of category and family income.For ST SC and students having family income less than 1 lakh has full tuition fee remission.And for general obc students family income between 1 to 5 lakh has 2/3remission on tuition fees.Otherly above 5 lakh we have to pay full fees.Generally yearly fees is about 1.3 lakhs.
Campus Life
As told already it has been online since our batch's admission we haven't visited the campus and also haven't enjoyed the campus.In nit Raipur there are many clubs and committees.Like Shruti, Abhinay,Eclectica ,Go green, E-cell, rajbhasha samiti, Shaurya etc.
