Remarks
You can take admission by writing jee mains exam which is conducted every year by NTA in months of february to may. Registration begins in month of November or December. After crackig the exam students must enroll in JOSAA counselling and after that all the admission details can be found on the NIT Raipur website. There is 50% resevation for the students of home state and 50% for other state students. There is also reservation for EWS category and OBC, SC-ST students. NIT Raipur has central india largest entrance gate. It is situated in centre of city so you can avail most of your necessities. The professors here are good and supporting in nature. The only disadvantage of this college is that it doesn't have suffiecient number of hostels to accomodate students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty members here are higly qualified and experienced. They have completed there M.Tech and PhD from top IITs and NITs. The quality of education taught in the institute is very good, the professors are very good and supportive in nature. The course of 4 year B.Tech is divided into 8 semesters. The exams are medium in toughness, if you have attended your lecture session carefully then you can easily clear exams.There is 110:1 ratio of students to teacher.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are offfered for the students of 4th and 6th semester in there summer break. For 6th semester students companies visits campus for the selection of students for internship. 4th semester students have to do industrial training.
Placement Experience
College offers very good placements oppurtinities to the students. About 80% students gets placed with an average of 9 LPA. In core fields placement is slightly not good. Last year 64 LPA was highest package grabbed by one of our college student. In Electrical branch placement was around 75% with an average package of 8 LPA. Also large number of students go for higher studies like M.Tech, MBA etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
As it is government college all norms are followed according to the instructions given by governmet only. The total fees for one year is approximately 130000 excluding hostel fees. There is also provision of education loan to the students.
Campus Life
There is lot of fests happening in college like Eclectika, Aavartan etc. There is one playground fo outdoor sports like football, cricket etc.There are various clubs like Robotix, sahyog etc. The college library has vast number of books, e-books, magazines etc.
Hostel Facilities
The college have less number of hostels due to which admission in hostels is based on grade till previous semester. For first year students it is based on Jee Mains rank. The mess provides very good food and in a week we get two days special food.
