Entrance Preview

CET and internal examination (GD/PI) of NL dalmia. I scored around 92 percentile + went through the internal examinations for the PG MBA course.I opted for this college as this was known for finance and other specializations as well as they had 100% merit seats so I was happy to see that they had a fair standard of accepted students which was based on performance only.

Course Curriculum Overview

HR course for second year was good OD: Behavioural sciences and understanding the wiring of people through real life projects n concepts, HRM:dealt with core HR aspects during the employee life cycle HRD:dealt with core HR aspects to motivate n engage the employee during his tenureLaw, Compensation & benefits: Case studies etc were core subjects.

Internships Opportunities

I did it from RBI my stipend was around 12000 Rs per month stipend varies and is also sometimes upto 20000 Rs plus it depend on the repute of the organistaion, but more imporatnt is to see the role offered and take that opportunity.

Placement Experience

HDFC, TCS, Edelweiss were regular on the campus institute takes a lot of efforts and we also have placement cells with students who are active in being in touch with companies for placement so that more and more companies come in salary at my time was 4lac onwards.

College Events

Management festivals were celebrated with big sponsors however, you will also enjoy yourself with the peers you will learn more by being part of events as well as interact with many more student.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was reasonable in PG i paid RS 135000 per annum for books, exam fees, laptop etc all inclusive all that I paid extra for for some extra curricular trip that was organised by the college.

College takes efforts to gather alumni network and be in touch for campus placements word of mouth reference also helps there is a wide tolerance to anything which is benefiting the student and college campus parties were mostly in context of alumunus gathering n being in touch with them.

Finance faculty was good part time faculty was of calibre where they used to teach in reputed colleges India & abraod marketing faculty had many professors who were in senior poistions in earlier companys same with HR faculty many visiting faculty across Industries.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. Review of N.L Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research

I had applied for Welingkar,TISS, GIM. I could not attend the process for getting into it because of family issue and time goes the application for this colleges get closed and one option was remain so I applied and took the addmission into NL Dalmia. Yes I get rejection from TISS because I couldn't clear the cut off marks required for this college. Addmission Process For NL Dalmia :- Round 1 :- Group Discussion Filteration Round : Giving any random topic (Current Affairs related to market) (Around 7,8 student seat together for this round pannel is around 2) Round 2 :- Personal Interview :- Checking the Knowledge about the Bachelor Subject and If experience could ask the question relevant to it. Cutoff for getting into NL Dalmia is 85 Percentile or above in CMAT. To sum it up

Admission process was easy and eveything was conveyed via the website of the college which any one can refer. Eligibility of the course is through any one of the entrance tests with particular score in all of the tests respectively. As I submitted my scorecard of both CMAT and MAH-CET, with ~84%ile and ~96%ile respectively, I was shortlisted for the PI round, as the second stage for the final selection process. The details regarding application form, application fees, and all vital dates were available over the net. They have mentioned that the acceptance rate is 4%, which can be brought down, so that there can be some more good quality of students, undoubtedly it is alright now, but everyone wants to progress whether being an institute or any organisation for that matter, and hence just a suggestion for the same....Read More
