Remarks

The college had one good thing that it had separated BMM students from the regular course students fees was reasonable though the faculty and HOD's use to change in regular intervals, hence if they can avoid than it all good with the college.

Entrance Preview

There was no entrance exam that i had to give, it was just a Personal Interview by the HOD and Trustee and got the admission. The days in 2003, BMM (Bachelor of Mass Media) was newly introduced course giving an specialization in Media (advertising/Journalism) hence took a chance as it involved lots of projects and other activities which really helped me in my person growth and will help all my life.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It had 6 semesters in total 1st two years it was in common subjects and on 3rd year we had to go to our stream i.e. Advertising/journalism. I had picked Advertising (we had to pick our subject at the very start of the course) each semester had 6 subject and there was two board exams taken for 3rd year (5th & 6th Semester) with centre.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, got an chance to work with Dev media PVT LTD as a market research executive for 6months, Experience was awesome to work with a newspaper (DNA) during its campaign and pre-launch.

Placement Experience

2.5

Yes, found it little difficult at the initial stage to find a proper job but now it all going fine.Due to huge number of channels/newspapers we have lots of opportunities in this field and hence the course has picked up very well among all the youngsters and HSC pass outs.

College Events

2.5

Media chatIt was fun and get to know some really good speakers to come and discuss and share their thoughts BMM bazaarwhere we had to market & sell product in a group. it was fun as we had Song dedication as our product and we earned a lot of money.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was very reasonable and feasible and they had allowed in parts as well. so it wasn't rigid and also no donation was asked. They were easy and gave all the help a student needed in terms of fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

No there was no scholarship or loan given to any student the fees was though allowed to pay in parts in regular intervals few discounts were given to the student who paid fees for whole year in one go.

Campus Life

2.5

Not much of extra curricular activities were there BMM students but yes the Projects for each subject were enough activities for all the students and as i said Projects and its topics was the fun and learn for all.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

II use to save in Mumbai so never went to a hostel also the college doesnt have any hostel there was a canteen though it wasnt that great as the food wasnt that great and no options were available.

Alumni/Alumna

It was always good experience with the seniors supportive and always helpful not crazy ragging happened it was a very peaceful and sweet welcome we had on 1st day.

Exam Structure

Exams are always hectic 1st four semesters were conducted with the college premises but last 2 semesters were conducted in a center decided by GOVT.

Faculty

4.5

They were really friendly and made the subjects look more easy and comfortable it was fun to seat for all the lectures and we had lots of freedom and liberty in choosing subjects for projects which helped a lot and made this fun and learn more and more practical things rather than just theory.

I will rate 6 out of 10 because the syllabus it has old information. The special aspect of the curriculum is about branding, strategy use to make strong brand in the market. The area for improvement in these curriculum is to provide student the proper software for technical or practical subjects. (like photoshop, indesign, etc.)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Placement Experience:

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.
