Interns

I am from J&k. So my admission procedure was totally different. I got admission through AICTE's PMSSS scheme i.e, for the students of j&k. We are shortlisted on the basis of our class 12th marks and provided the preference of our college and the seats reserved in the college, branch selected and the rank achieved in PMSSS rankings, we are allotted the college. It usually happens in 3 rounds.

I chose the computer course because I think there is a very good scope in the computer science field. Usually, there are 5-6 subjects in each semester provided with one subject teacher and approximately one teacher teaches a class of 50-60 students. And also the students are divided into batches according to their ID no's and the students only visit LABS in order of batches. There are around 13-17 students in each batch with different batch teachers. The teachers are highly qualified and have a large time teaching experience. Now coming to the most important section is examination. There are 2 Mid semester examination (1 week each) and 1 End semester examination(3 weeks) in each semester and practical exams that lasts for 1 week.

I have not done any internship yet. But nowadays we can do online internships also. Interns usually get some stipend which I don't know. Students do the internship after the 4th semester and in the 8th semester.

The students are available for placement after the end of the 8th semester. Various companies visit the college. The highest package maybe around 10 lacs per annum. The average package is around 4.5 lacs per annum. Around 70% of students get placed in the college. My plans after getting my degree are quite different from others. My aim and my 1st target are to go into the armed forces.

The fee is around 5k -6k each semester. The government provides scholarships. The alumni Association also provide scholarship. AICTE also provide scholarship to j&k students. Some of the names of scholarship are as follows:- 1.MYSY 2. Digital Gujarat 3. BVM Alumni Association 4.PMSSS

The are various social activities happening in the college such as UDAAN. Every book is there in BVM Library provided with free wifi services and newspapers to read. The sports section is also up to the mark. The college provides various opportunities to students in the sports arena and chances to represent at district and state levels etc. There are various clubs in the college such as Google developer club, GDSC club, CSI, IEEE etc.

The newly constructed AM Naik hostel is very good. You can get an AC room or Non Ac room there. The facilities are better than the other hostels in the area. Some of the facilities are as follows:- 1. Lift 2. Clean washroom 3. Sweepers come on a daily basis. 4. Organised mess 5. Normal quality food.
