The college that make me an engineer.

I got an admission on Merritt on Merritt, i was offered an admission in this college in B.E.Civil at the same time i was also offered diploma in computer at surat and Physiotherapy at Vadodara i wanted to do B.E. and i heard a lot about this college so, i took admission in this L.E.College.

There was a perfect course curriculum which included each and every field of civil engineering. there was surveying, Engineering Drawing, Hydraulics, Quantity, Materials, Highways, Railways, Harbor & Ports, Airports, Buildings, Structural Designs etc.

In our time, when we were studying in college, there was no system of internship in engineering colleges. So, there is no question of any stipend. But, we were having one project in last year and we also having educational tour of visiting one big project site.

There was very rare placement facility at that time, and job opportunities in civil engineering were less in our time. But now a days there is placement facilities and job opportunities are very good.

We were celebrating some events like, Annual function, Fishpond, NSS camps etc.We were also celebrated festivals like, Holi, Navratri, Xmas etc during college times.

Lakhadhirji engineering college is a govt engineering college fees were very nominal there was a semester fee structure and at the start of new semester one has to pay fee anybody can afford the fees.

There was not any specific or handsome scholarship at that time but as per the govt rules the students of reserved cat were getting scholarships for college fee, hostel fee and for books also.

On an average the campus life was not very hifi, but we were enjoyed a lot naturally gender ratio in engineering colleges at that time was not in favor of boys. But there was enough sport facilities in L.E.College like Cricket and Football Ground, Badminton Court, Tennis court. Also indoor games like Table Tennis, Chess, Carom etc college was having very good emphy Hall the Lab facilities were excellent, each and every faculty having thair lab with fully equipped machines.

There is an Alumni association of our college the alumni association is hosting some functions of get to gather time to time. We are also having as alumni group of our Batch we are sharing on social media so we are live with each other.

Our college was under Saurastra University and the exams were conducted regularly at the end of each semester final exams were conducted.

Our Faculties were very experienced and technically sound they were having good teaching experience they were student friendly they also helped students to solve their difficulties.
