AKGEC: Top private AKTU college

I got 49552 ranks in my jee mains 2021. I got a fee CSE wavier seat in this college and also its the best private college in aktu(A. P. J. Abdul kalam Technical University). 85% of seats were reserved for the students coming through jee mains and 15% seats for direct admissions students. From the AKTU counseling, you will be getting the choice to lock your seat in this college. As it is AKTU counseling you will be getting one minority cast reservation plus you will get a home state quota. No, i don't want any improvement in the admissions process. Everything's great in it.

From the very beginning, I always wanted to be an engineer in computer fields so I opt for this course. The faculty-student ratio maybe somewhere around 1:13. All the teachers are very helpful, friendly, and supportive and every teacher is having a dual Ph.D. degree in their respective subjects. Every months there are Sessional tests and also class tests surprisingly, in the end, we are having our Pre University Test. I found college exams to be more tough and lengthy compared to the main University Exams.

Many companies who come to our college for 4th-year students placement also provide opportunities to 3rd-year students to appear in their internship programs. They usually offer SDE(software development engineer) roles to students. As I am a 1st-semester student so I don't have that much idea about the projects and all those things.

Placements are a prestigious part of a college. It majorly depends upon the student efforts and consistency but is also a little dependent upon the college. Students from 4thd sem are eligible to apply for off-campus internships. Students from the 5th semester can apply for on-campus internships and students from the end of the 6th sem apply for their placement in which the majority of the students get placed before starting of their 4th year. This year the placement was 1.13 crore offered by Amazon, Dublin. The average placement is 5-6 lac per annum. About 90-95% of students get placed through in campus placement drive. I plan to get a job in top MNCs like Amazon, Oracle, Microsoft, etc. But my short-term goal is to keep my parents happy till the time they are with me.

The fees structure for normal students without fee waivers is 140000 per year. For fee wavier students it's just 40000 per year. Students get a scholarship from the government side of 56000 per year. Hostel fees are 120000 per year. At the beginning of the odd semesters, college provide us with information about different scholarships offered by the government. As I am in the first semester, I have got no job till now.

No fest in our college. Small fests are run by students themselves. There are many societies like "Taal" for dancing, "Euphony" fo singing, "Goonj" for drama, "Verve" for fashion designing etc. All these social groups are by students itself. Although in our there is no fest our societies go to different colleges and bring prizes and trophies every time. The central library spread over 1465 sq meters with a seating capacity of total 350+ people. Classrooms are all well furnished and equipped with all essential amenities required by students. Every year students from different sports backgrounds participate in different intraschool competitions and brings trophies every time.

First-year hostels are only double sharing. From the second year, we will be given to choosing between one, double or triple sharing rooms. The room is well-spaced with three windows in each room. I personally like the mess food. The quality of the mess food is better than other colleges as I have eaten in the mess of my elder sister's college. Meal quality is good and a variety of food is served to us. From simple laal masoor daal to chola bhatoore (loved by every single hostel guy), paneer, dosa everything's great. At the time of physical reporting after the allotment of the seat, we can apply for the hostel itself from the administrative block of the college. I opted for a hostel.
