SCSVMV University Detailed Review

Eligibility of the course: Candidates must pass 10+2 exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsary subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biology/ Technical Vocational Subject/ Computer Science. Candidates must secure at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. Application forms will be available at SCSVMV Campus itself. (SCSVMV Campus, Enathur, Kanchipuram, School of Education for B.Ed program and Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Ayurveda College, Nazarathpet, Chennai.). Students can also download the application form from the official website of SCSVMV portal. And all the details regarding application fees and application dates will be available at the SCSVMV officail website. Application forms can be filled either in online or offline mode. The admission process of Kanchi University (SCSVMV) is conducted through a merit-based Counselling session.

The department offers BE(ECE) Regular, Part time and other PhD couerse. The University has a dynamic scheme of updating the syllabus at short regular intervals so that the curriculum says relevant to the industry needs and produces relevantly trained engineers. The syllabus has been fine tuned at various points of time(2004, 2008 and 2010). The Board of studies , chaired by the Head of the Department, is a body of senior practicing faculty drawn from educational instituitions as well as from industry. Three Senior faculty members of the ECE department are members are of the Board of Studies. The Academic Council is a higher body, chaired by the Vice-Chancellor and Senior advisers who review the recommendations of the Board of Studies. Curriculum revision is done periodically based on the feedback from outgoing students, teachers, peers, and alumni. The Semester exams will be conducted within a gap of 4 or 5 months as per the Academic Schedule and those exams will be quite simple only.

(Rs.60,000/- per year) PCM above 70% in HSC/ Intermediate -> 50% Tuition fee waiver for the first year only. (Rs.60,000/- per year) Other Boards: PCM above 70% in HSC/ Intermediate -> 50% Tuition fee waiver for the first two years. (Rs.60,000/- per year) PCM above 60% in HSC/ Intermediate -> 50% Tuition fee waiver for the first year only. (Rs.60,000/- per year)

Facilities: The University provides necessary infrastructural facilities to students for their convenience and improved college experience . SCSVMV facilities and infrastructure includes a library and it offers a large number of books as well as other reading materials. SCSVMV also facilitates and infrastructure includes a fitness center and students fitness will also been taken care of. The sports equipment, cafetaria, auditorium, laboratories, medical facility, Wi-Fi, bank and transportation facility are some of the facilities available on the SCSVMV University campus. SCSVMV University encourages students to participate in different indoor and outdoor sports by promoting sports events on campus and providing sports facilities. Students can take part in a variety of sports events and can win prizes. Every year inside the campus, the annual fest named "Spardha" will be conducted very grandly and it will be organized by the University students itself and students will enjoy it a lot.
