Remarks
As this is an autonomous college, the college authorities take their own admission test. Firstly, you have to sit for an exam and after that, an interview will be taken. Then the students get admission in the college, merit wise. this year the exam was free to sit for, there was no admission charge. reservations are available for sc, st and obc.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty members are highly qualified and they are very friendly too. We address our teachers as dada. They are always open to help. There are sufficient faculty members in each department. like in each department, there are only 15-16 students and there are an average of six teachers for them. In online mode sometimes teachers miss classes but not frequently. There are different kinds of exam like mid-sem, tutorial and end-sem and the college doesn't allow to take tuitions outside. so you have to study well to pass the exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
the college is a full residential college. and the monthly fees of the college (including hostel and tuitions ) is 3500 rupees. though for sc and st students the charge is very low i.e 1500. you have to give 25000 approximately at the time of admission in 1st year and in 2nd and 3rd year approximately 10000 rupees is applicable at the time of admission.
Campus Life
The campus is enormous, there is a swimming pool, three libraries, one gym. there is also a computer lab and high speed free Wi-Fi zone. the college has two large auditoriums and 4 different hostels for students. Every spiritual Bengali events are observed here. Inter-department sports, cultural programs are held here regularly.
Hostel Facilities
This is a residential college so students have to stay in hostel mandatorily. There are four hostels on the campus. They include hostel charges in the monthly fees of 3500 rupees. as of now the hostel offers four time meals and they are planning to extend it to five. There are both veg and non-veg options . the food here is very healthy and also hygienic.
