Abdul Samad's Review On Canara Bank School Of Management - [CBSMS], Bangalore

I had taken PGCET entrance to get admission for MBA, scored 47/100 and ranked @ 3967 out of 19000+ students. Initially i choose this college just because of very less fee, later i investigate about college. Then i came to know that this is among the best colleges in Bangalore and head of Management course in Bangalore University.

Syllabus for MBA has been revised from 2015 as i was student of 2012-14, i taken funance and Human resources as my specialized subjects. Where financial subjects were Taxation, Statistics, Quantitative Research and International Accounting. Human resources subjects were International HR, organizational behavior, Trade Unions etc.

College internship was a good experience as we approached many companies to make us part of their organization, but most of companies didn't allowed us because internship program was for 6 weeks and they won't allowing. There was no general stipend for internship students.

Till i passed out i.e. in 2014, there was 4 companies who were participating in campus recruitment. At our academic period there was not much opportunities exist but once MK Shridhar taken charge of Dean and Director of the college, students are getting hired in various IT companies. For last year, around 25 students were hired out of 60.

We celebrate each and every festival regardless to the religious beliefs, we celebrated Deewali, Ramzan Eid etc. Apart from the festivals we organized CBSMS carnival, where we invited various company CEOs and Managers to be part of it and share their valuable thoughts with us.

Fee structure is one of major reason why student selects for canara bank school of management studies because fees were very less and we have to pay fees at start of the semester.

There is a person named Shivarudrayya who take care if all news related to scholarships and communicates with the students. I applied and got full fees through office scholarship desk.

College life is always memorable, and for us also it was memorable and the best two years. Gender ratio is 2:1,no hostel parties at all, college is tied up with AMCAT and they conduct tests for every year. Zero tolerance and well cultured campus, sometime students from North Karnataka felt alienated but it was no exist when started communication with Bangalorians.Personally i never felt alienated in the academic period.

Alumni network needs to improve as it was under development stage. When we were studying and it has been constructed in very good manner but still it needs to improve in using social networking as CBSMS official website doesn't update regularly.

Tests are being conducted every month and internal exams for every 3 months. Tests will be for assignments and internal exams from books. Tests make students to learn from live experience and latest articles and exams are not as cool as tests.

I personally feel i had the best faculty staff in my academic career when i was in CBSMS. Specially Gopal Kriahna sir taught us lot of corporate culture and live assignments to visit various government offices, vidhan soudha etc. And MK shridhar taught us marketing strategies very effectively.
