About my college

I have joined this college based on the JEE MAINS exam result. The minimum percentile to join this CSE stream in this college is 90 and the seat allocation is based on the students applied and their percentile. The students with higher percentile will be preferred first. We can find the application form in the official portal of the college website and the application fee is about 1000 rupees. I have not availed of any reservation benefits. The admission process is comfortable and there is no need for improvement in admission process.

I have chosen this course because there is a high demand for the Computer science engineering students in the current generation and I always wanted to learn coding. The faculty and student ratio is about 1:20. All the professors are well qualified and are well dignified and they all have the ability to deliver the subject to the students accurately. The term exams are easy to pass if we follow the lectures regularly.

Many companies offer internships to the students of this college and all of them are very useful in developing our skills. Some of the internships are provided with the stipend and some are provided without the stipend. The main company that offers internships to the students of Gitam is Amazon. There are many roles in which we can do an internship and also the project. By doing this, we can be able to get the actual idea of the exprience of the job. Internships also helps us to develop our skills and abilities. Internships play a major role in the career choice of an engineering student.

From the end of the 6th semester, the students are eligible for the placements. Many companies visit our college for placements including the MNC companies like HCL, Wipro, Amazon, TCS, Google, Berkadia, Genpact. All the companies together offer a total of around 700 job offers to the students of this college. The highest package is 40lpa and the average package is 7lpa. Almost 80% of the students gets placed in the campus placements. My plans after the degree is to pursue MS.

The fee of the college is around 100000 per academic year and it does not include the hostel fees in it. The cost to study is neither less nor high when compared to the other colleges. There may be a fee hike policy in the academic fees. We can also avail of the scholarship if we are among the toppers in the previous semesters and this type of scholarship is followed by many of the colleges.

Apart from the studies, various types of fests are also organized on the campus. For example., the annual fest is organized by the management of the college in the month of March every year. And there are also tech fests that help the students to show their hidden talent and get recognized. The library is a very useful resource in every college and this library is very large and it contains all the books in it from which we can get the required books ans study. The classrooms are maintained very neatly and there are all the amenities in the college like a blackboard, projector, screen, benches and also the ventilation. All the types of sports are allowed to play in college and basketball is played mainly in college. Indoor games are also there in the college. There are many social groups that are conducted by the students in which we can join based on our interests and learn them. Some of the social clubs are dancing club, music club, talk club and many more.
