Entrance Preview
Since it was mandatory to appear for IIT JEE exams for the entrance in any engineering colleges of Gujarat. So, I appeared for the IIT JEE exam.In IIT JEE exam I had scored 83 marks. And since I wanted to stay with my parents as well as do my studies so I had to choose college from surat only.And I wanted such branch which had less number of students. So, I took environmental Engineering course. And to my fortune it was available only in Dr. S & S.S. Gandhi Engineering College.
Course Curriculum Overview
Courses are taught to students by semester wise.So in each semester students has to change the books to face new subjects. So annually two semesters are concluded. This is the course curriculum followed almost in all the Engineering colleges of Gujarat.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies comes to Dr. S & S.S. Gandhi Engineering college. But most of them are government companies like IOC (Indian Oil Corporation), Indian Railways, etc. They offer stipend rate of around 7,000 rupees to 9,000 rupees. Which is very good for the students.And they train all the students for the welfare of their bright future
Placement Experience
Since our college is Government college, Most of the job offered are again from the government companies. Government companies like IOC (Indian Oil Corporation), Indian Railways, etc. And their pay package ranges from 10, 000 rupees to 20, 000 rupees varying from the load of work and company wise.
College Events
Events like Sports Day, Cultural Nights, Freshers Party, Annual Day, Technical Fest, etc are celebrated by the college.Among above the Technical fest has higher participations.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is very feasible.Since annual fee is 1,500 rupees onlyThat makes 750 rupees per semester. Thanks to Government for such a reasonable fee structure.
Fees and Financial Aid
College provides scholarship to the students for those who fall under OBC (Other Backward Caste)College offers them free of cost Education on producing OBC Creamy layer certificate.
Campus Life
Many labs are available in college. For all the various department various labs are provided to students for the better understanding of their concepts. Even Sports are played on Sports day. Sports like table tennis, cricket, volleyball, etc are played Fresher parties takes place when the junior arrives to collegeAnd various robotics and debates always goes onAnd every event is celebrated in good organised manner
Hostel Facilities
Hostel are provided by college for the students coming from some other cities and far away from surat. Even the Hostel fee is very reasonable.Even then many students prefer to stay in the hostel which is not a unit of Dr. S & S.S. Gandhi Engineering college.And Hostel fee ranges from 3, 000 rupees to 4, 500 rupees.
Alumni/Alumna
Both the seniors and alumni supports all the students in all the way.Senior give brief experience which they had to all junior and they always show the path / Guideline for junior students.Senior supports a lot in other aspects like project works, concept problem, etc.
Exam Structure
Exams are conducted Semester wise. Each Year two semesters are concluded. Which is followed almost in all engineering colleges of Gujarat.
Faculty
Faculty are very good. They teach to students in very friendly behaviour and they make sure that their topics are well understood by almost all students.They give topics to all students for the project works related to their branches / Courses this makes the students more informative in their respective field.
