My Experience in APC College

Our college does not take any kind of entrance exam. The admission process is totally merit-based. The eligibility of this course is if a student belongs to GENERAL/ OBC he must have 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in Bengali or 55% marks in Bengali. If the student belongs to SC/ST he/she must have obtained 40% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in Bengali. This is the details eligibility criteria. But as this is a merit-based admission process you have to score higher marks to get a chance. You can find the application form on the college website. Yes reservation seats are available for minority candidates.

I have got good marks in Bengali in HS and I love Bengali literature a lot. In the future, I want to be a teacher or professor in Bengali. So I have taken this subject. We have a total of 97 seats available in the Bengali department. For General 53 seats for OBC A-10 seats for OBC-B 7 seats for SC 21 seats and for ST 6 seats are available. We have a total of 8 faculties in our department. So the student-faculty ratio is 12 students per 1 faculty. Yes, all of our faculties are highly qualified. Four faculties have completed Ph.D. two faculties have completed M.Phil and two faculties are pursuing Ph.D. after MA. All of our professors are very good. They primarily focus on career-oriented teaching processes. We have a total of six semesters to be exact. Exams are not highly difficult to pass

The college fee is generally low. The admission fee in the Bengali department was around Rs 1600. Then for the 2nd and third year, the fee is almost staying same it's around 1400. So the total cost as a college fee is around 6000 Rs in 3 years. If our Bengali department organized an excursion you have to pay extra for that. College does not need to help financially as the fees are low. But you can apply for multiple governments and private scholarships like SVMCM, OASIS, Kanyashree, TATA, JINDAL, HDFC, etc. To renew SVMCM or Knayshree for the 2nd and 3rd year you must have obtained 60% marks and a no-fail paper.

Our college organizes many cultural programs every year. In our annual cultural program, many students from different departments join. Recitation, Singing, Dancing, Solo Drama, Debate and quiz competition, and many other things happen. Our department celebrates mother language day, Rabindra Jayanti, etc. We have a fresher's program where celebrity singer performs. We have a very good library room in our college. We can avail a different variety of books. We have a dedicated study room where anyone can study for hours. We can bring the book home using a library card. We have many sports activities in our college. Students participate in the different activities of annual sports programs. We have a very good campus, a good garden in front of our college. We have wifi facility and the whole campus is an anti-ragging zone. Our student union group is very good
