Remarks
If a candidate wants to study in Physics honours the basic eligibility is that you must have a science background in your HS exam. And you must have physics as a subject. To apply the form you must have 50% average marks in overall subjects. Or you must have a minimum of 55% marks in Physics. The merit list will be created based on Higher secondary and Madhyamik marks. In HS they will make an average of the best of 4 subject marks and the more percentage of the number you get the higher possibility to appear on the list. The college will publish several merit lists. When you see the merit list you have to pay the admission fee which is around Rs 5500. You will get all notifications on the college website. After payment documents must be verified offline.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am very good at Physics. I like this subject very much. And I have got good marks in Physics. In the future, I want to be a Physics professor. So I have chosen this course. We have a total of 63 students in our department. Among the 63 seats for GENERAL 34 seats, for SC 14 seats for OBC-A 6 seats for OBC-B 5 seats, for ST 4 seats are available. 3% of seats are reserved for physically challenged students. We have a total of 7 faculties in our department. So our student-faculty ratio is quite good. It's 9 students per faculty. All of our faculties are highly qualified as 5 faculties have PhD and the rest two are pursuing them. Their teaching method is very good. We have a total of six semesters in the CBCS system. You have to study well to pass. Otherwise with every passing semester, the paper increases and paper become more difficult
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college fee is maybe high than any government college. For admission, the fee was around Rs 5500, for the 2nd semester the fee was Rs 4110, for the 3rd semester the fee was Rs 5079, for the 4th semester the fee was Rs 4110, for the 5th semester the fee was 4479, and for the last semester, the fee was Rs 3510. So total college fee was almost 27000 in 3 years. However, candidates can apply for government scholarships. SVCM and K2( for girls ) give Rs 18000 per year which covers the college fee. For minority students additional OASIS scholarships are available. If you are a very good student you can also apply for Inspire scholarships which pay around 30000 per year.
Campus Life
We have many cultural programs, festivals, and seminars are organized all around the year. Teacher's day, Saraswati Puja, Rabindra Jayanti, Fresher's welcome, and many other programs are organized. We have very good library rooms and study rooms. Almost 2300 books on Physics are available in the library. So there are many resources available. Moreover journals, newspapers are available too. Our classroom is very clean and well made with modern infrastructure. We have a mike speaker facility, projector, and computer for audio visual study. We have a hostel facility, a good canteen, medical assistance, laboratory, computer room, free internet and many more. We have annual sports program every year. Many different sports activities happen then.
