Remarks
Students have to get above 60% in their 12th board exams to apply for the course. The form for admission is available in the amity Kolkata official website. The form costs 1500 rs. The admission process is indeed super fast. The form gets reviewed in 72 hours. If a student is eligible, the admission office will reach out to him or her. A interview will be taken over the phone and the student also have to sit for an offline or online exams.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was into finance since a small age. Bcom was something i wanted to do after my class 12 exams. To be honest , i like everything about my course. But there is always room for improvement, At the present moment I would not want any change. The faculty members are too good. They know what they are doing. Teachers are too good , friendly. The quality of thr education is worth it. The cirriculum is absolutely relevant. The exams are taken semester wise that means every 5 months, students have to sit for the exam. Before the exams, students also have to give a internals.
Internships Opportunities
The top recruiting companies ate FORD,MICROSOFT,TCS,WIPRO,GOOGLE,TECHNO etc.Around 98% studenta got interships from my batch. Intershipa are provides by the University during the forth semester, in the month of June and July. A student may or may not get a stipend.
Placement Experience
Amity provides great placements. More than 95% received placements in my batch. The thing about placements is that, it depends upon marks and merit. The higher the marks, the more chances of getting placed. The highest package is 35 LPA and the lowest being 7 LPA. The top recruiting companies ate FORD,MICROSOFT,TCS,WIPRO,GOOGLE,TECHNO etc. Around 98% studenta got interships from my batch. My plans after getting the degree would be doing MBA and doing a startup.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for bcom is 4.5 lakhs. Amity has a interesting scholarship technics. If the student gets above 90% in their board exams,amity provides 50% scholarship to them , if the marks is above 80% then the students get 40-30% scholarship. Amity provides summer internship in forth semester.
Campus Life
Amity organises its annual fest called , AMIPHORIA each year. It's generally held in the month of March or April. Students can take part in any event he or she wishes to. Amity provides wifi to its students. The classrooms are well lit , has projectors,wifi and is well furnished. Amity has central Air conditioner. The library is by far, my most favorite place. It had great lighting, ac ,washrooms and ample place to get in the mood to study. The library has also computers. Students can also access it. Students can apply to any club they want to . Amity provides plenty of options regarding clubs. There is a games room, playground.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel room is pretty spacious. Each room has its room bathroom. The hostel has its own wifi. Food is given in the morning and at night. The students have to buy from outside or in the campus during the lunch time, as lunch aren't provided. Amity provides only vegetarian meals. Non veg inside the hostel is prohibited. The security is too tight. Thus there's zero safety issues. Students aren't allowed to go outside without their parents and management's permission. I see this rule,both as a pro and a con. You can plenty pgs near or around amity. The rents is usually around 6000-10000 a month. Autos and buses are there. So students won't have a transportation issue.
