Remarks

The eligibility is based on class 12 marks mainly. You must have a minimum of 45% marks overall or 55% marks in English subjects for GENERAL/OBC candidates. For SC/ST minimum of 40% marks are needed overall and 40% in an English paper. The admission fee was approximately Rs 3500, For application, you have to visit the college website and the entire process is online quickly and easily. They calculate the percentage of 4 subject marks and they also see MP exam marks. Then publish many merit lists. Yes reservation seats are available for OBC-A, OBC-B, SC and ST student.

Among the subject of art, I have in 12 I like the English most and got decent marks. I want to know English literature in detail. So I have chosen this course. We have around 6 faculties and around 80 students in our English department. So student-faculty ratio is around 12-13 students per faculty. All of our faculties are highly qualified. Most of them have done a Ph.D. or MPhil. Their teaching method is a manner where we can learn things better. We have 6 semesters in total. The exam becomes tough after 3rd semester. The last two-semester have a lot of papers. So you have to study well.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Our admission fee was around Rs 3500. For the 3rd and 5th semesters the fee remains the same like around Rs3500, For the 2nd,4th and 6th semesters the fee is around Rs 2500. So total cost is approximately 18k-20k. However, candidates can apply for many scholarships. SVMCM scholarships, Kanyashree Prakalpa, Talent support programs, Nabanna Scholarships, OASIS, etc. For svmcm and Kanyshree students can get a 15,000 per year scholarship which covers the college fee. College does support some needy students financially.

Campus Life

Our college splendidly organizes cultural programs. Fresher programs, Teacher's day, Saraswati Puja, Holi and many more programs are celebrated. Many students perform in these programs. Our campus life was very cheerful. We have a very enriched library room where students can find almost all kinds of books. We have an air-conditioned seminar room with ICT facilities. The classrooms are very clean. Free wifi whole campus. We have a beautiful garden in front of our college. Moreover, we have a history museum, open-air theatre, science forum, counseling unit, medical unit, and many more Our college is graded 'A' by NAAC. We have sports activities too. Annual sports programs and many indoor games are being played

A place to enhance skills

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because it has lots of scope in future to get a job and also it is a good subject or my National language. In this college lots of faculty has been given to the students. Well, I am also a new student but I can say that all teaching and non teaching staff and also the office staff are very humble to the students and they help us a lot. I am in B.A. 1st year student and lots of faculty has been given by our beloved teachers and office staff. The teachers are very humble by nature and the way they taught us is really mind blowing I am very grateful that I am a student of those teachers. In every 6 months, you have to give one semester examination and as I already told you that I am a new student and my exam is in February month so I do not have experience with the paper and how difficult it to pass but I can say you read properly you can pass the exam in Good marks.

A College with Potential

I also applied for Barackpore Surendra Nath rastra guru college, i dont take admission to that college is beacause of distance i live in belgharia and bhairab ganguly college is the nearest college i have and if i have to go to Barracpore College i have to travel via train or buses so thats why i choose this college over that. Yeah i also applied at st. pauls cathedral mission college i don't make their cause according to their merit list my marks are too low so thats why i didn't take addmision their. Our college take admission based on our 12th board exams if i have enough marks for admission i get admitted and if i dont have the marks i dont get admitted. the cut offs in this admission proccess go lowest around like 350 out of 500 in the 12th board....Read More
