My College My Pride

My college is very good in building skills among various levels of students. Staff students relationship is be very friendly. Management wise I was not satisfied much. They made us to wait for for long time even for simple matters.

I joined by Anna university counselling. I joined there as it was near to my native and also I heard it was reaching a good progress in a short period.

I have opted for computer science course. The course material covers the advance features like cloud computing, Networking, Data structure, Database management system. I have learnt even the IOT( Internet of Things) with well advanced features to sustain in future. Programming languages like C, C++ and Java are thought both theoretical and practically.

Yes, we had intern-ship in our final year, we went Chennai for our project & had to stay there & complete our project in 6 month of time.The experience in companies were very useful for us to learn & solve many practical difficulties.We improved our team spirit. Also developed the skills of rectifying various project related errors by ourselves.

During my college period, placements were not that much good, but some small companies & BPO provided placements.I have came across final (H.R) round in a company but I was not willing to join because they said there might be night shifts also my family was not supporting me in that case.

We had several technical symposiums regularly in monthly intervals. At the end of academic cultural events were conducted,cine stars will come & lots of entertainment programmes were conducted. At the month of August sports day will be held in a very grand manner. Many intra & inter college competitions will be going on. Other functions like pongal,independence,republic day etc. were conducted happily.

In merit I got fees up to Rs 86,000/- per year including travel,hostel & food experiences, but normal fees was nearly RS.1,15,000/- per year.Transport charges from native to Thiruvannamalai is RS.40,000/- whereas local costs Rs 25,000/-. Apart from these per exam paper cost Rs 100/- and practical Rs 150/- Totally each semester it cost around Rs 1200/- apart from academic fees. As we middle class family, the cost of this course is little expensive.

I got scholarship for caste(OBC) yearly Rs.4500/- will be offered. My friend got RS.5600/- for caste(MBC) other than this farmer scholarship was given.

Approximately 60% boys 40% girls were in our academic.department wise workshops were held at least once in a month. NCC & red-cross camps were also in process. Strict rules were followed between boys & girls. No political influence is seen. Economic status was good.

I don't have much experience on alumni network as i moved to Bangalore soon after my graduation. My seniors helped me a lot in studies. But little discrimination was going on between seniors. They guided us in several ways to follow our college rules.

We had weekly cyclic tests in each paper.Also had monthly revision exams.Apart from that semester exams will be held once in 6 months. Labs were held twice in a week. Really it helped me score good marks in final semester. Lab hours made our day chilled out where as exams left us stressed and created fear in us.

According to my view majority of my faculties were very well versed & Experienced in their particular subjects. They use to give periodic tests & many upgrades were done. Students who needs special attention were given some extra classes after working hours.
