Admission process was easy. I had filled online application form on gla university website. I had to pay seat booking fees after that i had to give an online interview. After clearing the interview my admission was done. All my documents were also submitted online on gla portal.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to be a software engineer so i opted btech in computer science. Teacher student ratio is almost 1:40. Teachers are nice co operative and well qualified having phd or atleast post graduation. Teachers keep asking and clearing doubts of students. There are time to time feedback sessions. Exams are conducted every 2 months and if you are regular in classes exams are easy to pass.
Placement Experience
From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies visiting campus like Microsoft, wipro, infosys ,accenture and many more. Highest package was around 32 lakh per annum and average was 7 lakh. Almost 90 % students get placed. I too plan to get placed in a good company after getting my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Average annual fees for btech is 175000. Bus fees is 21000. Hostel and mess fees are separate. Based on 12 th percentage in pcm gla university gives scholarship of 60000 and a student has to maintain cpi of 8 to continue getting scholarship. There are several other government scholarships schemes that are provided to economically weaker students.
Campus Life
There are many many clubs like abacus literario run by students which organize several activities every month. Campus life is good environment is peaceful there is greenery. Library is all full with books of all kinds. All course books are available, pdfs and ebooks are also provided by teachers. Sports facilities are also available for all students. There are many seminars and events conducted by university to enhance students knowledge.
