Remarks

Students should have passed the 12th examination with English as one of the subjects or in English medium with 50% marks on any recognised board. Students have to qualify for the IPUCET entrance examination. You can find the forms on the GGSIPU website till 30th April. According to me till yet no changes are required.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose this course due to my passion for becoming a news anchor, so I pursue this course even I feel this field required creativity and somewhere I have that. The teaching method is best here, you will get very supportive proffers and teachers, even they are very frank towards their students, will help you out in everything. They took place very frequently 2 semesters in 1 year and it is very easy to pass the exams only if you study or prepared well for them.

Internships Opportunities

5

Due to the current situation of covid, there were in house internships held in different fields. In different semesters students have to opt for a different internship like during the 5th semester students have to do internship like in TV, RADIO, TELEVISION , DIGITAL MARKETING ETC.

Placement Experience

5

From the 3rd semester which basically means almost 2nd year students are eligible for the campus placements. There will be plenty of students who will be getting the opportunities for the placement. After getting the degree from this college I guess there will be a number of opportunities for me waiting and I feel I always wanted to be an anchor so will go in that direction otherwise small step will be to be a graphic designer.

Fees and Financial Aid

For DME media school it is very affordable for one year it is 97545. There are various scholarships that will be provided to you and they will benefit you a lot. And for these scholarships, you will be given a few pieces of information and then a few documents will be required too.

Campus Life

5

DME MEDIA SCHOOL conducts I can in April which includes all the famous and experienced journalists it takes place in studio62 which gives you a perfect vibe of being an anchor, journalist. The huge library of DME which is divided into sections and includes all the books and quantity is also good enough, there is no requirement to buy books especially. The classroom does not make you feel bored or dull or uneasy it gives you a pleasant vibes during every season. The campus with studies also include side by side activities which are basically divided into society which makes you more enthusiastic and also helps you to enjoy your life at college. SPARC which is the student committee of DME college is run by the students. And students irrespective of age gap year gap meet together and conduct different events on occasions and guide you about them very well.

Placement Experience:

80% students are placed through DME with a package of 5 LPA to 7 LPA on an average which is quite decent for a fresher entering the industry. The top recruiting are for placements are Bharat Express, PR Guru, Amar Ujala, Dynamite News, T.H.E.M.E.S. Over 90% of the students were placed for internship in Amar Ujala, PR Guru, Aaj Tak, ABP News and Doordarshan. Top roles offered are journalist, content writer, anchor, film maker, and back end roles like video editor, graphic designer and many more. I personally plan to go into video editing after getting the degree.

My main aim is to become an automobile journalist that is the aspect that influenced me to choose this course. Till the date i dont feel that improvements are needed in curriculam and teaching methods. As faculty is really good in teaching and timely providing notes as it really helps students to learn effectively for theory exams and concentrate on practical skills that are needed to secure good position in reputed firms in future

Placements of our colleges and mediocre. From 6th semester students become elegible for campus placement. The highest package offered was 6LPA and the average package is 3-4 LPA. Placement depends upon the students applying for placement through college. Many students gets internships or jobs by themselves before even reaching placement cell.

Students become eligible for placement during their final year of college. DME offers several different companies that it has tie ins with for placements to students such as Gadgets 360, Aaj Tak, Myntra, PTI and D&P. 70-80% students get a good placement package. My personal plan following graduation is to pursue my higher education in correspondence with employment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself was nothing out of the ordinary material, it teaches you the basics of the field but the faculties were pretty good and helped us understand not just the basic but a little more so that we could actually be able to work in the environment once we get there. Also they organise workshops which was mandatory for all the students without any extra charge to learn from professional what to do and how to do it best. We also used to get projects which actually helped alot in learning with practice the theory.
