APC college: My Experience

Any candidate must have passed Higher Secondary exam with the Mathematics subject and for all the UR category students 50% overall marks are needed or 55% marks in the Mathematics required. For all SC/ST candidates, the overall aggregate of 45% marks and 45% in Mathematics is the minimum criteria to fill up the application form. As the entire process is online you have to visit the college's official website for application and future updates. The application fee is around Rs 300. The merit list was created based on the best four subject marks. You need to have above 75% marks to be on the merit list. Yes reservation seats are available for minority, PWD candidates.

I am good at Mathematics. My dream is to do MSc in Mathematics from the top IIT. That is the reason I have taken Mathematics honours in the first place. We have a total of 97 seats available. Among them 53 seats are unreserved, 21 seats are for SC, 6 seats are for ST, 10 seats are for OBC A, 7 seats are OBC B and 3% in all categories are reserved for PH students. However, we had around 75 students in our department. We have 4 faculties permanently and 8 guest faculties who come occasionally. So our student-faculty ratio is quite satisfactory. All of our faculties have been good in terms of teaching. They have taken regular classes, they have taken a practical class in C programming. We have a total of six semesters to pass. Exams are quite difficult to pass. Especially the last two semester with 4 papers each are quite tough

If a candidate has Mathematics Hons with Physics and chemistry as a General subject his fee structure will be: the admission fee Rs 4369, for 2nd sem fee Rs 3090, for 3rd sem fee is 4009, for 4th sem fee is 3090, for 5th sem fee is 4009 and for the last sem fee is 3090. So the total course fee in 3 years is 21657. For university registration fee is Rs 350. The total cost is around Rs 22000. Students can get a scholarship from govt. Swami Vivekananda and Kanyashree scholarships give 18000 per year to science students. For renewal of scholarships, the student must get 60% aggregate in Hons subject. Minority students also get OASIS scholarships

In our college, there are a lot of cultural programs all around the year. We have celebrated the fresher's program in our department. Our college organizes Saraswati Puja, Holi festival, annual cultural programs, etc. Moreover, we have celebrated many important days like independence, republic, mother language, and Netaji Jayanti. Our college has one of the best infrastructures and campus. Our campus is beautifully decorated with flower gardens. It's very clean. Our classrooms are very good with computers and projector facility and many more. We have a dedicated laboratory room for a different department, we have a computer room, a library room where we have almost thousands of books available, a study room and many more. Also, we have sports activities, and different types of sports programs in our college.
