The eligibility of the course is that candidate must have passed HS (10+2) exams. Now for the unreserved category, 50% overall aggregate and 45% marks in English required. Or if anyone gets 55% marks in English only can apply for Hons. For the SC /ST category overall pass marks of around 41% and 45% marks in English is the basic criteria. I am good at English literature and wanted to deeply study. I want to do research in English literature. So I have chosen this course. We have a total of 70 students in our college's English department. Among them 41 seats are unreserved, 16 seats for SC, 5 seats for ST, 8 seats for OBC-A and 5 seats for OBC B. We have a total of six faculties in our department. So our student-faculty ratio is around 11 to 12 students per faculty. Our faculties are very much professional with a lot of knowledge and experience in English subjects. We have classroom lectures, PowerPoint presentations, tutorial classes and many more. Some of our faculties used to take special classes. We have a total of six semesters to pass in the CBCS system.

The fee structure is per semester. It means students have to pay fees every semester. The admission fee for English Hons is approximately Rs 3500. For the 2nd semester, the fee stays around Rs 3000. For the 3rd to 6th sem fee varies between Rs 3000-3500. So the total cost of studying here is around 20k-21k INR in 3 years. College does help financially some needy students. However, anyone can apply for different scholarships like SVMCM, OASIS, Kanyashree, JINDAL, Inspire etc. Only girls students can apply for Kanyashree and SC/ST/OBC can apply for OASIS and any student can apply for SVCMCM. But a candidate must have 60% marks to get the scholarships per year. The amount is Rs 15000 for arts students

We have a memorable cultural function organized every year. Students from all departments join this program. Singing, dancing, recitation, drama and many more. We also celebrate many important days in our department. We have also got department fresher's programs. We have all kinds of modern facilities in our college including projectors, computers, sound system. We have a very good library with a lot of books and we have a beautiful campus which is decorated with beautiful flowers and trees. We have wifi facilities, good quality canteen, a hostel for boys and girls, laboratory room, computer lab, auditorium, student NCC and many more.
