Overall the college is good if you look at the faculty side but the placement is really pathetic and the placement officer needs to work his heart out to ensure each student gets a job.
Entrance Preview
I gave Karnataka CET and my rank was 5000. I opted for this college after hearing a lot of positive feedback about the faculty members.
Course Curriculum Overview
This is a 8 semester program and the elective subjects starts from 6th semesters.In first and second semesters there are two cycles: Physics cycle and chemistry cycles.Each semester has a couple of labs and in the final semester we need to do a group project.
Placement Experience
Many companies visited for MBA students like Capgemini, Genpact, HCL, Sasken LnT, Tech Mahindra etc etc. But for Engineering students there is a limited stock when it comes to placement. The stipend offered was at an average good for a fresher.
College Events
They have lot of technical events and conferences. College yearly fest is of average quality and very less number of people participate. sports section of the college needs real encouragement as there is no sports department as such.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is moderate an it varies depending upon how you are entering the college. For CET it is 40000 yearly, For COMED-K 300000 yearly and there is no limit for the people coming via management quota.
Fees and Financial Aid
No the college does not provide any loan facility as such. But yes for people with poor financial background they have a scholarship program which needs a lot of proofs to be submitted.
Campus Life
Labs are hitech and classrooms are well furnished. Workshops are average.Gender ratio is almost same and the chairman of college is a good person with political background.
Alumni/Alumna
I was in the first batch of this college and cannot comment much on this side. Yes the alumni network is good and people are still in contact. They organize a alumni event every year so far which is good.
Exam Structure
Usually there are two exam seasons at the end of each semester with the duration of 3 hours. Exams level is average and a student with just one week of serious study can easily crack the VTU exams.
Faculty
I would rate most the faculty members as 8/10 at an average, some faculty members are very rude and specially the principal needs to be changed. They have good teaching experience and overall ensures that each and every class member gets passed in the examinations.
