Entrance Preview

I gave state level entrace exam called MET. From my childhood i wanted to go in business and it good opportunity to learn corporate culture at Chitkara.

Course Curriculum Overview

In course curriculam we had presentaion, MST, VIVA and Final Assessment. In collectively we need to score more than 60% marks. Our subjects were Managerial Econimics, Acoounts. Communication skill, Marketing Management, Operation Management etc.

Internships Opportunities

My college internship was not so good. As i could not learn much in my training. I tried to go for big brands but could not go there and in last joiner small firm.

Placement Experience

When i was in final year of MBA very few companies came in our campus and unfortunately i could not clear of the interview. Bank of America, plat 5, icici bank prudential came in the campus placement.

College Events

Every year chitkara celebrates annual fest and it calls any of the popular singer or musician. Its very good for students to see those kinda of fest at chitkara.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not take any loan facility but few of my friends took loan facility from banks. I do not knw from which bank they took loan or bank provide you loan at less interest.

Campus Life

Life at chitkara is awesome. It was great experience at chitkara. I think girls boys ratio is not so bad. It has very nice cafeteria where we have variety of food available in cafeteria.

Hostel Facilities

I used to live in PG not in college hostel. I will recomend people to take PG rather than chossing hostel in a college.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is not so complex and It is affiliated with PTU. At chitkara we had neat and clean labs.

Faculty

Our faculities focus on teaching us practical rather only classroom training. It is more interactive and easy to learn. They take us to different industries where they have tieup.

Thapar the unique approach to MBA

Placement Experience:

students are eliglible for placements when they pass previous backlogs and have 75% attendance. almost 50+ companies showed up mostly taking resume and not conducting any interviews. avg. package: 6L almost 70% students got placed mostly in sales.

The placement were so bad I mean the company came but they only took sales people rather than coming the finance profile or the operation profile so minimum package was 2 lakh doing mba getting low is quite not good

A Valuable Learning Curve with Real-World Exposure

Placement Experience:

Placement in the college are decent. Mostly students got placed for sales and marketing role. There are very few companies who came for Finance ,HR and Operations and other specializatins. So mostly at the end other specialix=zation students end up with getting a job role in slaes or marketing only.

Generally the placement drives starts during semester 3. Few name of the companies which visits campus Is Deloitte, American Express, Oxane Partners, Nestle & L'oreal etc. Highest package is 24.81 LPA & Average package is 8.17 LPA.

A GLANCE TO MY COLLEGE

i chose this college over other colleges becuase of its reputation , in recent years Chitkara has made its name whether we talk about placements or any other various field, it has a brand value as a private college its a quite good college,this is slightly a new college that is why boards were the criteria to get admission and other colleges i applied to took admission o the basis of JEE mains and i had not scored that good in it that is why did'nt able to clear the cutoff for my required branch, i applied t o Thapar Institute Of Technology, Patiala , Chandigarh University,Punjab, Amity University, Punjab Chandigarh College of Architecture.. i got confirmation from everywhere but just in Thapar i did not get Computer Science, The elegibility criteria in Chitkara is min aggregrate of 60% in jee mains and 70% in boards then there are several cutoffs on which the branches are given to students...Read More

I choose this college because it have a good placement ratio and packages. Here placements cell heads are helpful and teaches us about how to grab good placement. No, i didn't get a rejection from other colleges but i choose this because transportation is easy in this as compared to other colleges.
