Detailed Overview of SASTRA Deemed University

For us, the admission process happened as they shortlist based on the 12th Mark we scored. We have to fill out the application form and submit it to them either online or via post and they provide us ranks if we are eligible based on our merit. Counseling happened for seats based on our choice and availability. But the thing I didn't like is Area wise Quota. They have allowed more seats to Home townpeople than other states. In my view, this has to be Changed.

I have chosen B.Tech (Information Technology). I thought of taking CSE but unfortunately, the allocated seats got completed. I heard that both IT and CSE people are treated equally in SASTRA, since I was interested in CSE, I have chosen the IT department and am feeling happy about that decision even now. And when comes to faculty they care for us and explain every doubt we raise without hesitation. Also, they are student-friendly. Besides these, we have 3 Mid exams for a semester of which the best 2 exams are considered for internal marks.

For our batch most companies visiting sastra also providing internships before Full-time offers. It means students who got placed in placements can also have the opportunity to experience the software life by doing a real-time internship with the companies in their final semester itself. Thanks to Sastra and Companies for giving this.

Sastra is a better place for getting good placement opportunities. For our batch, almost 130+ companies came to our campus for hiring and the count is still going on. Sastra has more than 90% of Placements every year helping the most number of students to achieve the job of their dreams. I also got placed in a good company with a decent salary. Companies like Amazon, Walmart, Wells Fargo, Incedo, Deloitte...etc.and many others every year visit our campus for hiring.

Not like some colleges, fees don't depend on the course in this college. All the courses have the same fees structure.snd Every year there is a fees hike of 5% more than what we paid for the previous year.As farIi know SASTRA doesn't provide any separate or special scholarships but It provides a change to get a scholarship of 10k rupees from Central Government Scholarship Schemes

Like other universities, SASTRA also has some mouth-watering Fests like (Daksh, Colleseum, Kuruksastra). These three are the grand fests in our college. Apart from this we also have some small fests at least once in 2 r 3 months. We have both technical and non-technical Clubs in sastra like Daksh, Scan IT, E-Cell ...etc.College life in sastra is very different from other colleges. You can do a lot.
