SASTRA in a Nut Shell

Actually the admission procedure in sastra is nothing special.It takes our 12th marks to check for the eligibility criteria.In releases online application we have to apply for it.Thr application fees cost 650 rupees.The admissions happens in two streams one is Jee Mains stream and others is 12th Marks Stream.70% of seats are reserved for 1st Stream and 30% seats are reserved for 2nd stream candidates.

When comes to studies sastra is the best i know in this field.Sastra provides a lot of opportunities to the students based on their choice.Apart from general curriculum they also allow us to choose open electives on our choice to know and gain few more knowledge on extra fields.Also for every 60 students a mentor is alloted to take care of us.They personally check our academic standards and help us a lot in case of any problems.

For our batch companies started visiting us from our 6th semester itself. They also started providing internships from 3rd year.Companies like Accenture, Incedo, Deloitte, Amazon, Walmart etc and many more companies.

In Sastra Students are eligible for Placements from 7th semester itself.Every year more than 130+ companies visit sastra for Placements.And for our batch till now more than 100+ companies visited and the count is still raising.Almost 80% of students in sastra definitely gets their job in hand before leaving the campus.

Compared to other colleges and universities sastra provides a lot more to students in those fees range For us they took some 67000 for 1st 2 semesters and there is a hike of fees by 5% every year gradually until the end of final year.Apart from this it also provide us an opportunity with a small scholarship which provided 10k every year for 4 years which is a centre government scholarship scheme.

Sastra has three fests Kuruksastra,Daksh and Collesseum.Among them Kuruksastra is the college Grand fest .Students enjoy these fests a lot.Along with these there were many small fests goes on for every 2 to 3 months.sqstra allows students to participate in extra curricular activities strongly.And it has both technical and non tech clubs like E-Cell ,Plasma ,Scan IT and they conduct many events atleast 1 in a month.

For sastra hostels i can say they are decent ones.If your expectations are more you will disappoint.Since sastra is a Brahmin established college they don't allow any non-veg meals to college and also they don't provide it.If one wants to eat it opposite to sastra many hotels and restaurants are available we can use them.And for 1st years hostels rooms are provided by the management .But from 2nd years onwards there will be a registration process in sastra website.
