VELS university review

From graduation, I was determined that I have to pursue my master's from an excellent university. Further, to which I started preparing for CAT. The choice of VELS University was basically based on my parent's decision and it was the best decision for my life. I appeared for the CAT exam and a personal interview for the final merit list. 50% marks in graduation is a mandate. The application fee is Rs.500 for the form submission.

The university has laid more focus on Value-added programs and activities like seminars, workshops, presentations, business plans and quizzes. Regular updates are made to the course structure according to the technology. Industrial visits are organized every month in various industries to increase the knowledge of the students and turn the "experience into reality" concept true and effective.

The college offers excellent placement opportunities for the students. Every year, a 100% placement record is maintained by the college. Highest package went to Rs. 8 LPA. The college placement cell offers great assistance to the students in preparing for the tests and interviews. Companies like IBM, HCL, Microsoft, Revature, Fomra, Thermal Engineering, Tablets LTD, Amazon, Flextronics, Infosys, Wipro, etc visited the campus during the placement drive.

Scholarship refers to the financial assistance provided by the college or government for students who come from weak financial backgrounds. Total fee for the course is Rs. 3.74 lakhs. For MBA students, a scholarship is awarded on the basis of marks scored in the entrance exam. Direct award (in the form of cash) is not given to students rather some percentage of the tuition fee is waivered off for the student.

The cultural event Nakshatra is the heart of the university. The entire campus participates in this event with full zeal and enthusiasm. I also participated in some games at sports events. I personally enjoyed my two years at the campus and made a good social circle. The infrastructure of the campus is also good. My personality changed a lot in these two years and made me a better person.
