Gangadhar Meher University- BA HINDI REVIEW

The admission process was smooth and very efficient. I was selected in the final selection. The faculty members contacted me in time and told me about the empty seat. This shows that the administrative department is very alert and responsive. I had contacted them before for admission-related purposes and I have thoroughly explained the process. I was then admitted to the BA Hindi department. For you to be eligible for this course, you have to pass class 12th. Cut off mark for my honors was about 76%. The application form was available at the Official website of Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur. You just had to fill out the required information and you are good to go. You can also apply for reservations like SC, ST, OBC,PHD, and ex-serviceman quota. Admission fees were about 5020 for Generals. For others like SC & ST, it was even lower. The process, according to me, was really hassle-free.

I chose BA In Hindi Honors. Because I want to be a Hindi Teacher and for this I need to gather proper knowledge and experience. My honors have around 33 seats. Our department has around 8 faculty members including notable Ph.D. holders and Ph.D. Scholars. They are well-trained lecturers and have a great grasp of their topic. They are really to approach and you can easily ask your doubts to them. Our classes go very efficiently. They teach us about 2 Core Papers in the first year. One is HINDI SAHITYA KA ITIHAS & HINDI KAVYA SANGRAHA. These books will surely enrich the minds of the students and prepare them for the upcoming entrance exams. Teachers along with their experience are enough for us to get good grades and expand our knowledge. Semesters Exams and internals were held regularly. They occur roughly after 4 months and they are fairly easy to pass if you listen carefully to the lectures.

The course fee is 5100 and in my opinion, it is a good price for the course. The overall package of world-class teaching and the experience included with it is really worth it. Scholarships such as state portal scholarships are available for students and they can easily apply Or these if they are eligible for them then they can avail themselves of the benefits of them. Students applied for these and got upto 10000 rupees as a stipend.

GMU Provides a lot of opportunities and experiences ranging from good classmates to a lot of learned lectures and this feeling overwhelms you even after you leave the university. The campus also houses a library equipped with many books and articles on various topics and it also has proper sitting arrangements for the students to provide a peaceful focus-filled atmosphere for studying. There are various student groups like ABVP and BCJD that work for the good of students. There are also a lot of student fests and cultural events. Students take part in them and show their talents. There are also debate societies where you can practice your speaking skills.

There are 8 hostels in total in GMU. Most of them easily accommodate more than one hundred students. They have 3 hostels for Ug boys and 3 for UG and PG girls respectively. There are 2 hostels for 11th and 12th students ( boys and girls separate). The rooms are spacious, enough for 3 people to live comfortably. The meal quality is good enough but it can surely be improved. You will be provided 2 meals each day, each priced around 35 rupees which is pretty cheap in my opinion. Hostel also provide exposure to all kinds of fun activities like sports. Seniors are kind and friendly. With rich experience ahead, you will surely enjoy your hostel life here.
