Remarks

It was my dream to pursue my MBA from a good college and getting into CSTVU turned out to be the best for me. I gave the examination of CAT in which i scored 81%. The basic reason of choosing this college was that it was much more affordable than the other - schools and i had to pay an application fee of Rs. 800 along with my personal details and my CAT marksheet. The whole process was in online mode.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I opted for finance profile in my MBA and was provided with a comprehensive syllabus with a touch of both theory and practical subjects. I was taught financial modelling as well as Python. My teachers are very well qualified and almost all of them are PHD in their subjects. They taught us through PPT's and visual pictures. There is a maximum of 50 students in my class.

Placement Experience

4

I am in my first year of college but have asked my seniors who told me that almost 80% of their batch got placed. Many good companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and Deloitte visits our campus to hire students who provide good profiles like finance associate to the students. My seniors told me that the average package was around 3,60,000 and the highest went up to 700,000.

Fees and Financial Aid

My first year college fee was around 50000 which was found by me to be the most affordable as other management college charges much more than this. The other expenses like hostel, books and personal expenses sum up to Rs. 10000. I was not provided any scholarship but my friends who belonged to the same state as well as to the backward class were given an amount of Rs. 40000.

Campus Life

5

I am a member of social club at my college where it provides help to the needy people and help the environment to grow. Many other fest are held at my college in which all the famous celebrities visit to perform. My campus is also huge and it is fun to explore the campus. I was taught to become an extrovert from introvert due to huge number of social functions now and then

Placement Experience:

So the college placement is pretty impressive. After 2nd semester or from the starting of 3rd semester the companies start to visit the campus. From reputed organizations to banks, to all other companies visit the campus. Every company has different criteria for students to get selected but mostly the companies criteria list consists of no backlogs, about 70% in 10th,12th and graduation year and some written exams and GD & PI. In my batch if I'll talk about banks Axis,HDFC, IndusInd Bank, IDFC irst bank, ICICI prudential etc had visited. Other companies like Career mantra, Fundroom, corizo, intellipat, academor, home first finance, stratview research, bajaj Allianz, ESAF small finance, haleon, solarsquare, bhanzu, Shriram finance, berger paints, Rinex, dhanguard, jaro education, Nipon, TTEC , Gradguru , vrize, planet spark, etc had visited. The companies which were in Chhattisgarh were offering 3-4lpa and other which were outside the Chhattisgarh were offering 7-8 lpa, banks were offering 4-5lpa in Chhattisgarh. The ROI was good according to the fee structure of the college but the packages were not so impressive with the designation so only 25% of the students from my batch were placed.

Admission:

Our CAT interview process is IIM and I am giving you about the IIM Trichy Chennai campus. So we went there and the hospitality very good. And initially, there was one person, he verifies all the documents. And then we went to for CAT exam and were given with pen and paper. We were asked to write on paper and after waiting for a while, they were calling per person one by one. The interview happens in about 15-20 minutes. The interview was started with the basic questions, tell me about yourself? And then they briefly bring to my file, college projects and some business idea. And they asked about my hobbies and even I danced in my interview. That was the funniest part of the interview. Finally, they asked me about the current scenario and I was quite confident about all my answers. I was pretty sure that I would convert all the points.

The first thing I got attracted to this college is, among the new IIMs it really performs well in the case of placement and in terms of studies, in that way I think IIM Raipur is doing great. Being an MBA grad getting the corporation demos online that how can we get exposed to software and its features. I opted for this college over others because of the placement report of last year and also I live in Bhopal so it will be convenient to travel.

So, Raipur was head in terms of low fees, low educational fees, facilities wise a permanent campus. It had a good ratio of students is to faculty and even I had a few reviews so I had a few alumnis from my undergraduate college who were in Raipur and I spoke to them so they gave pretty good feedback about the college or his college and then I also had spoken to other people from other colleges from my undergraduate institutes. So I did a comparison and I meet a matric comparison, so I came to the decision and went into the Raipur.
