Remarks
To get admission to this college, you have to clear JEE mains exam held every year for PCM opted students. A minimum of 75% is required in the 12th board doesn't matter if it is CBSE our state boards. Once you qualify for JEE mains you have to register yourself with JOSSA for counseling and from there you will get updates for further procedures. You also get benefits of reservation like home state quota, OBC-ncl, SC, ST, Gen. EWS, and Pwd if you fall under that category. It has only one demerit that it has less number of rooms for students in the hostel. So if you want to be in a hostel in the 1st year then you should have a good rank in JEE mains and from the 2nd year onwards Hostels are allotted on the basis of the previous year's CPI.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculties are well experienced and some of them are so friendly with students. But many of them are quite strict. They give a lot of assignments and project work. But it is quite common in every engineering college.
Internships Opportunities
This college also has good internship opportunities. Many big companies like snapdeal, Infosys, and many more provide opportunities to the student for internships. Students are also gets offered high salaries and get internship offers.
Placement Experience
The highlighting feature of this college is the placement scenario which is improving every year. It is one of the main reasons why students want to get admission to this college. It is in 6th rank when we see the rank list of all other NITs in the country in terms of placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
As the placement scenario is quite good and it is improving every year if you pay that many fees then it's quite worth it. But it totally depends on you how much hard work you do during the course and how much you take all this seriously.
Campus Life
The environment is very nice inside the campus. Seniors are also very helpful. And when we talk about clubs and committees there are so many official and unofficial clubs and committees which organize different events. It has also a big library which has almost every kind of book which are helpful to us.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are quite good only if you are able to get them as there is less number of hostel rooms for students. To get hostel rooms there also we can see reservations. And in this other state students get privilege as 75% of the seats in the hostel are reserved for them. And only 25% of seats are reserved for home state students. In that also if your home is at more distance from college you will get preference over the one whose home is nearer to college.
