Remarks
The cutoff for our batch was around 87 percentile(Genral Category), I secured 96.7% and landed with 30454 rank. I was alloted Nit Raipur ECE in the first round itself. Admission process was very smooth and everything was provided on time. Everything was provided on the JoSaa and jee main website through which each details like Application form, certificates were to be uploaded. Only thing to improve in the admission process is to fasten the refund process.
Course Curriculum Overview
I has a specific interesnt towards electric components used in our daily life which convinced me to opt for this course. In online mode, a strength of 90 students were taught by one faculty in each subject. Eacha nd every faculty member is well qualified, knowledgable and experienced. Sometimes few concepts feel tough to grasp which we work upon by ourselves. Exams were well conducted and moderately tough and challenging.
Internships Opportunities
The internship oppurtunities at the college are xcellent. many clubs such as TCp club(programming club), robotics club and hackclub present you with the finest oppoptunities for your internships by discussiong at taking advices from your seniors.
Placement Experience
From the 3rd semester itself, students begin to fetch pre placement offers by several popular companies like Microsoft, Google Adobe, TCS, etc with almost 70% students receiving offers. The Highest alloted package was around 1.98 Crores which was by facebook(now meta). Lowest package was observed to be 8lakhs per annum. Amost 80% of students are required to possess various skills and knowledge to get placed easily. After graduating from my college, I plan to get into an IIM for a management degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
An approx amount of 5k to 10 k is seen to increase per year in our course fees. Another dillema is that due to the pandemic, our college is rushing our studies to complete it faster but the fees hasn't been deducted to a lesser amount. Like semester 2 is planned to end in 3 months rather than in 6 to 7 months. Several scholarships and fee concession plans are provided by the college. Students with category certifiucates and Gen Ews students avail thesee benefits including fee concession.
Campus Life
Avartan, Eclectika are few of of annual fests conducted in NIT raipur which consists of lots of art forms that people display like singing, dancing, painting, standup, rock performance, skits etc. NIT raipur is well equipped with required books and journals in their library which is availab;e to all for reading. NIT has a large ground for different sports like basketball, football, tennis, badminton, etc. There are a lot of clubs like Click Club i.e. photography club, Ahbinay Club i.e. acting and performing club, Raaga Club i.e. Music Club, I Club i.e. Innovation club and many others related to robotics and machine building, TCP programming clubs and many more.
