The admission process was through the entrance exam conducted by BITS called BITSAT called the application form can be found on the official website of BITSAT and all the other details will be posted there itself, there is no reservation benefits in the college
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I was interested in electronics.The student-faculty ratio is excellent is about 1:12. All the faculty are PhDs from excellent institutes like IITs or other foreign universities and have very good teaching styles. The exams are regularly conducted which involve assignments quizzes mid-semester and final examinations regularly attending classes and staying in touch with the subject is more than enough to score very well
Internships Opportunities
Almost all major companies come for summer internships which start from 3-1 with an avg stipend of about 30000 and an opportunity for a pre-placement offer usually companies come for sde roles. Another internship offer comes in 4-1 or 4-2 in the name of PS2 which is compulsory for all students and also has a high rate of conversion into a job The projects may vary depending on the company and role
Placement Experience
Students become eligible from the 4th year 1st sem for placements. All the major companies like Google Microsoft Apple Facebook Amazon Flipkart visit the campus along with a lot of core companies like Qualcomm Intel Texas instruments Exxon BHEL Schlumberger etc The highest domestic package was 51 lakhs offered by Adobe and the avg package is about 18-19 lakhs for sde and finance roles and a little less for core roles almost all the students who sit for placements get placed. I plan to do a job after my degree
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure will for every year of the course be given on the official BITS website taking into account the fee hike every year which is about 10-15%. You ACN expect your 4-year graduation to be completed in 23 lakhs including mess and hostel expenditure. There is a scholarship for students whose parents earn less than 12 lakhs per annum and for the top 2% merit students of the campus
Campus Life
There is an annual cultural fest called Atmos and a technical fest called pearl conducted every year. There are all types of books available in the library which is very vast all the classrooms are air-conditioned and have a projector and a board with excellent seating. There are all types of sports facilities available on the campus like football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and indoor sports like table tennis, badminton, and chess. There are apps to pre-order food from canteens made by students themselves apart from the mess which is run by the students
Hostel Facilities
There is a bed, a comfortable table, and a chair along with an almirah provided in each room the meal quality is pretty good while compared to other hostels with lunch breakfast dinner and snacks being provided every day the menu caters to both south and north Indian people and there are usually two or more options available there is special dinner every Sunday with special meals on Wednesday and other festivals The hostel is usually the same for all the students of the same graduating year and will be allocated to you with a roommate of your choice
