Remarks
It takes admission through JEE mains entrance examination. Application is available 2 Times in year, approx 9- 10 lacs candidates participate. If you want CS/IT then you have to be within 15k other state, general An for lower branches 55k. Ranks vary according to caste reservation.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty is good overall, some of the professors are strict but overall it's good. Seniors are very helpful in every respect. If you talk about the gender ratio it is quite good in terms of other engineering Colleges. The majority of students are from their home states themselves. Labs are satisfactory, each faculty is PhD qualified and also has a decade of experience.
Internships Opportunities
In terms of internships, our college lacks, top branches get a good internship but lower branches it's bit difficult. But you can go for off off-campus internship. Overall if you get top branches then you can think about it otherwise go for top branches in some good private colleges.
Placement Experience
The college has seen growth in placement in past years and it will increase further. More than 100 companies visit our campus if you have done something in your 4 years you may get some good offers. You get eligible for placement for 7 semesters. 80% of students get placement and some go for higher studies, government jobs or get off-campus placements. In Raipur, you can get coaching for CAT and GATE.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fee of Btech is 1.38 lacs but you get some relaxation on the basis of financial and caste reservations. For whom family income is less than 5 lacs 2/3 fees are waived. For St/Sc and persons with income less than 1 lac, full fees are waived. The college itself does not provide any scholarships but you can go for State and central scholarships provided by the government.
Campus Life
If we talk about infrastructure, it is poor. Hostels are not sufficient, if you have a good rank in jee then only you will get otherwise you have to see PG but nearby you can find some good PG. Club are good and has experienced members that will help in your overall growth. College life is awesome if you make some good friends, the college conducts numerous fests like Eclectika , E summit and more. College also have a good sports environment, we have our cricket team which plays in many tournaments.
Hostel Facilities
The college has a shortage of hostels, if you have a good rank in jee then only you will get a hostel otherwise you have to see PG, and you can get some good PG nearby at a good rate. Hostel and mess fees for 1 semester are 15.5 k. Mess food is satisfactory, you all get non-veg 2 Times a week and mess are off for Sunday
