Remarks
The admission process was quite simple. I applied through Jose with my air 43212 in jee mains exam. I got the information regarding the opening and closing rank of the previous year on the site itself, it helped me a lot regarding my choice filing and I got my desired seat in NIT Raipur.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course in electrical engineering is really good. I was interested in the core branches only and got to know that mechanical and electrical are the best core branches in nit Raipur so thatswhy I opted for electrical. The faculty is very educated and helpful. All of the teachers have completed their Ph.D. and are doctors. The way teaching is also appreciable like in these tough times of covid they taught us very well through the online mode. The exams were scheduled within a month of college opening (mid sem exam). But it was mcq so it was not too difficult to prepare.
Placement Experience
The average package increased from 9.5 lakhs (2020) to 9.7 lakhs (in 2021). The total number of jobs offered was 599 and the number of companies visited was 92. The major companies include amazon, TCS, Accenture, etc. Nearly 70-80% of the companies give chance to electrical students to sit in the tech placements. I also wish to get a decent job at the institute
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of the institute are less than other private colleges. Also, there is fee remission for those whose family income is less than 5lakhs( total fee for them is 54000), and for income, less than 1lakhs is around 13000. Also, there is fee remission for SC and ST categories. I am currently in the 1st semester.
Campus Life
Last year or maybe 2-3 years back before the covid situation darshan Raval performed in the nit Raipur campus. The name of the annual fest of our institute is Electrika. Every single book is present in the library, the library of nit Raipur is the biggest in the capital city Raipur. There are various clubs such as tritium, raaga, shourya, EEA, etc. club tritium is for dance, club raaga is for music and EEA is a branch-specific club of our electrical branch named electrical engineering association. There are enormous opportunities for the students to engage in extracurricular activities and facilities for sports are also decent.
