First of all, we need to pass 12th and then need to qualify for JEE Main and have to score enough rank according to the cut-off rank to get admission in SGSITS. Cut-off rank differs for every branch. It ranges from 20k to 100k for the General and OBC quotas. After qualifying for JEE, we have to take part in MPDTE counselling organised by the Madhya Pradesh Authority to allot seats in the Technical Education Institutes of MP. Counselling takes place in two rounds. We can register for the same in both of the rounds separately. There is an 85% home quota and 15% another state quota for seats in SGSITS. And caste reservation differs accordingly. In the name of improvement, MPDTE can increase the number of counselling rounds, although it has been good and easy counselling so far.

Information Technology is exactly the same as Computer Science. No company discriminate between these two while giving placement. I chose this course because it has a vast scope in a carrier. SGSITS has about a 1:25 faculty-student ratio. Maximum faculties are good and have enough qualifications including degrees of B.tech, M.tech, B.ed, D.ed, Masters, PhD and some other degrees. A very few faculties are inexperienced and new in college. HODs are the best among all faculties. Terms exams happen almost on time and carry a good level of difficulty. It's not too difficult to pass.

After 6th sem, students become eligible for campus placement. Some top companies visited in college are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Mahindra, Adani Group, Asian Paints Ltd, Crompton Greaves Ltd, Dolcera ITES Pvt Ltd, Gentech India Pvt Ltd, Venus Labs and many more. The highest on-campus package was 32 lap and the off-campus package was 55 LPA. The average package is 7 LPA. Almost 70% of students get placed in College. I want to take an on-campus placement.

IT course has a fee structure of 1,20,550 Rs per year. If a student chooses a hostel then it has about 30,000 Rs total fee for one semester. One can get a scholarship either by caste scholarship (Only OBC, ST and SC students can avail of it) or by MMVY (Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Yojna). Apart from the cast, every student can take benefit from MMVY which lies in its eligibility criteria. Students in SGSITS always have a good chance of a campus job. The college has tie-up with a lot of companies.

Campus life is best in SGSITS. There is no uniform dress code for students and teachers. Everyone is flexible to roam on the campus. No specific annual fest happens on campus. But there are a lot of fests happening on campus. There is a Central library in the college which has a great number of books including off-syllabus books. The college has a ground for cricket and football. It has a basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court and indoor sports hall. So far I haven't seen any extracurricular activity in college. There are many social groups in college like kshitij, club Ojas, club sgsits, e-cell and many more.
