To be a doctor

I am the 2016 batch. I got admission through KEAM.now the entrance examination is NEET. From the NEET examination, they will be shortlisting KEAM ranks by taking Kerala candidates. we are getting admission based on our rank and according to our reservation. Obc candidates have up to 1200 last rank in GMC Manjeri. an ex-servicemen reservation quota is also there. general category last rank up to 800. all India reservation quotas are also there. I love to become a doctor since childhood.GMC Manjeri is a good college. which was made from Gh Manjeri in 2013. Non-clinical subjects we have all facilities and no deficiency of faculties, but on the clinical side, there is a deficiency of faculties as experienced. We have 4 academic years and 4 University exams as well. Exams will be slightly difficult to pass and in order to appear for exams, we should have minimum internal marks. After passing the final year MBBS exams we will qualify for a one-year internship.

We have a one-year internship after passing our final year of MBBS. we posted in all departments for particular times to get trained. we have done it compulsory without any falls. The stipend now is 26000 per month. After completing the internship we have graduated and we will get a permanent tcmc registration number so that we can practice as General practitioners anywhere.

Each academic year we have to pay 25000 as course fee, 10000 as hostel fee, 3000 per month for the mess, and 3000 per year as a miscellaneous fee. The scholarship is available for reservation categories like obc, pec, St, SE and other reservations also available.

We have a yearly arts fest, and sports fest conducted by the college union. various clubs for promoting students' abilities. A big library containing lots of books for referral and spacious reading areas. We used to conduct Onam, Holi, and new year programmes in college and north zone competitions among medicos.

Boys and girls and girls have separate hostel facilities. first years have a separate hostel far from seniors. We have new hostel buildings after completing the work the students will be there. There is a mess in the hostel.3000per month.breakfast, lunch, evening tea, dinner. Breakfast varies for each day dosa, putt, Vella appam, chapati, idli, Uppumav etc for each day menu will be provided.
