life in jecrc

I applied for computer science engineering. it is nowadays one of the most wanted courses. so when I applied for it, it was tough to get in. the lowest jee rank needed for the course in jerk college is above 85 percentile in jee mains at that time. there are around 200 seats open in college but if you look into other rtu colleges, you might get more chances. you can apply for all rtu colleges through reap. it's an online application form. the application fee is 200rs, which I believe to be very affordable to anyone. the important dates get updated on the internet 4 to 5 months in advance. there are some reservation criteria such as Kashmir migrants, st/sc, disabled person, news, pwbd, etc. the details are available on rtu.ac.in.

I chose this course because I liked coding. as I was very passionate about coding, I took this course in this college all by my choice. always follow your passion. the faculty-student ratio is very good here as it is very high and there are 1 faculty over every 10 students. the faculty is very highly educated as I remember most of them were doctors in their fields of study. there will be 2 midterm exams and one final exam every semester. they are done in a perfect one-month gap.

the students become eligible for campus placement from the 3rd year. many companies come for placements with many jobs. some names with jobs offered are- Wipro-253, TCS-205, Accenture-177, at-66, Infosys-25, and many more. 1700 placements given. with a placement percentage of 90%. the highest placement was 44lpa by amazon.

there is no fees hike policy for as much as I experienced. my course was 80000rs every year. but as an engineering course, it costs very normally. the college provides very good campus placements. I got into Infosys with a 6lpa package. as for scholarships they let you know about them through email. I could not avail any of those scholarships, but many did.

every year the college fest is organized giving many opportunities to students for academic and social adventure. it is for 3 days, including social, cultural, and sports competitions. there is a DJ night as well. this all gives students a chance to earn certificates by showing their skills. there are 4 libraries in the college good enough for any course you are in. you can issue 2 books at a time. you won't find any novels though. the classrooms are normal but the labs are well kept. sports activities are good but not great I would say. but extracurricular activities, are amazing and are many to choose from. there are many clubs in college mostly aiming at social issues such as poverty, women's safety, trees, etc.
